How is someone supposed to have control over what the pastor of their church thinks outside of the subject of their religion?
And, ZG, I bet that if you have gone to church, you have indeed gone to one whose leader said things contrary to your own beliefs. How could you ever possibly find one with a pastor that didn't, as you could never know what their beliefs truly are until you heard them spoken? And no two people share very many particular beliefs, anyway, even within the membership of a cult. Bit of a conundrum there. Or at least an unreasonable expectation of telepathic ability.

I spend quite a bit of my time involved with my church. Besides services, I attend a Bible Study group and serve on the Council. I have belonged to many different sects of Christianity and other religions or beliefs, and when they said things I did not agree with, I left. I have had pastors in the religion I'm committed to now that I did not agree with, and you know what I did? I left. I found another church, another Pastor. You cannot be fed on the Word of God by someone you do not agree with. Of course you will not find someone who agrees with every single thought you ever have. But we are not talking about whether or not it's okay to have silk flowers on the altar during Lent. The things this guy says are weighty, and someone who disagrees with those statements should find a new church home.
