Jan. 13, 2008, 1:38 p.m.Good stuff, but if you drink it with any milk, or anything made with dairy proteins, all benefits are negated, as the flavonoid compounds are bound in these proteins and made worthless.

Jan. 13, 2008, 4:48 p.m.Just a question, isn't black tea just green tea leaves that have been fermented. I didn't know that mixing milk with the tea took away the healthy affects of it, I'll blame the milk for not being able to lose weight.

Jan. 13, 2008, 10:50 p.m.Also, relieves stress...I can't believe all these stories about green tea focus so much on the weight-loss and antioxidant benefits (althought these are good), but rarely mention the awesome stress-relieving properties of L-theanine...

Jan. 14, 2008, 3:11 a.m.Remember that green tea, as with any other healthy stuff, is best used with individual discretion.
Green tea contains some caffeine, which should be limited in pregnancy. Although green tea is relatively low in caffeine it would be unwise to drink vast quantities of it during pregnancy.
Finally, green tea, like other teas and coffee can also make it difficult for our bodies to absorb iron from food, which is another reason why it should be drunk in moderation.
I checked this factually on:
