It's not good, but its not that bad either. It's not nearly as damning as it would be if we were talking about the republican party nominations, where the white vote is much more influencial.

plus, the white democrats were choosing between DEMOCRATS. cat, you and other cons should not place too much stock in this as an indication of the general election, its not. IF he gets the nomination, and the choice is obama or a republican, trust me on this, they will vote for the democrat.

Absolutely correct! And people need to get off the race crap. It's kind of ridiculous that if whites don't vote for Barack, it's taken as some insidious sign of racism.

God forbid anyone give these people some credit for making their decisions based on something other than race.

According to Kos s, whites voting for, Obama would be engaging in "racial politics" of the "worst kind"

Racism is less of an issue in America than sexism. That's why Obama has a better chance than Hillary. Sexism is integral into conservatism. That's the truth of the existence of what we call the "Angry White Male". There is a hatred towards the Clintons basically because they won and its personal because they are southern. Now it's almost to the point to campaign against Obama because you think he's a good guy who doesn't need to be Assassinated. That's why the Vice Presidential race is now more important now than the Presidential. Cheney has permanently changed the power structure of Washington by floating the idea that the VP is a 4th branch of government. It almost kind of should be, except with a person who actually values human life in charge, rather than the war criminal/Nazi who currently occupies that post. That's why I think John Edwards would be the best Vice President we could ever have. And Hillary can get a nice cush post like Secretary of State.

So explain the most powerful woman in the world. Dr. Rice?

"That's why Obama has a better chance than Hillary"

Uh no. Obama has a better chance than Hillary cause more and more people realize Hillary's "resume" is BLANK.

Every job she has had is a result of Bill Clinton being the Gov or Prez. (ya, Same as W. thats my point)

Question. She claims 35 years working on "very important issues"

As a lawyer name 5 cases she handled and won? (Jury duty doesn't count)

As a Senator for 7 years name 3 "bills" she has authored and gotten passed?

                Ok how bout 1?

Ok that's to high a bar, bills she has authored and are in the works? 1? 2?

How bout bills she is "thinking" bout authoring? 7 years gotta be 1?

To be fair I don't think Obama has much either. I would have to say that Clinton is just to polarizing a figure to make a good President. If she's nominated I'm calling a GOP victory, I'm sorry but thats what I think. Few Democrats really like her from what I see and I don't feel its because she is a woman. The same people I hear talking about Hillary say they'd vote for Rice if she ran. Its not a sexism issue, its that she has the same CV as Obama and doesn't have nearly his charisma, appeal or his ability to appear non-partisan.

If she loses I don't think her gender will be a factor and if you think it is... then you believe all young people are secretly sexist? And that adults are really not sexist, even though they were raised in a more sexist world? I mean, if the only reason Obama is winning is gender... then his huge ratings among younger people shows that there sexist. I think thats just silly. If Hillary loses I'd have to say its not her gender playing against her, after all enough women around to swing the vote unless there is some terrible secret I'm unaware of. Hillary is losing because she is more of the same. Obama proves this in my opinion, because he is new, fresh and he is not a member of the generation that produced the Clintons or Bushes. He doesn't still have highly partisan feelings. He, and candidates of his mind set, are the future I think. Thus, the younger generation and the older people who are sick of partisanship as well, vote for him. I don't see it as a gender thing.

I don't know, the facts don't support your claim.

Not only did Bush have 3 women, one was 'also' a minority. the Clinton administration had two women.

The Bush administration, had four minority males in his cabinet, the Clinton administration had three.

The 2000 Bush administration, had a total of six cabinet members that were either women or minorities, the Clinton administration had five. You do the math.

Kos is consistently vocal and consistently partisan, but he's almost never right.
