great post mntnman! As with all "drugs" it would have to be regulated. Alcohol, prescription drugs, etc. are all addictive but they are regulated. Not just anyone (esp. under the age 18) can go and purchase these items by themselves. Making MJ legal to persons 18 would outlaw it to our minors. Even though alcohol is illegal to minors the US has a serious problem with underage drinking. It is going to happen regardless. As far as addiction, i think it is more mentally addictive then physically. MJ provides a feeling just as any other stimulant. I don't really see the problem. It would cut down on illegal drug smuggling and be a HUGE revenue for the federal government. Benefits out way the negatives I'd say by far.
