How many different strains and varieties of this plant are there? Differing potency levels? Differing psychological experience and level? Differing efficacy with specific ailments? What about the non-smoking consumption, which negates the lung cancer argument?

All MJ is not the same any more than all herbal supplements are the same. I wonder how they decide on which few varieties make it into the machine.

I get cranky if I don't have my medication. My medication is weed. In my opinion weed is less harmful than either alcohol or cigarettes. I'm moving to Cali. :)

I've noticed that no one has commented on one of the more subtle effects of marijuana consumption which is its effect on blood pressure and what it does to the circulatory system. Marijuana increases a persons blood pressure by 25 - 50% above normal levels for at leasts a few hours by constricitng the blood vessels and requiring the heart to use more force to push blood through the body, including the brain. This is an effect you may not notice right away but if you have access to a BP monitor and you smoke, try it out and see what happens.

The people of California clearly smoke too much of the stuff. What's next? Meth and E machines in the restrooms?

#1 - Anyone sick or dying should be able to ingest whatever they want to ease their suffering. No freaking questions asked by any man-made government. It's unconscionable that the dying are denied comfort.

#2 - Legalize it and get it out of the hands of the crooks, criminals and government. Allow the market to control the distribution the same as alcohol and cigarettes are sold.
