Posted by: JamesMarcus 1 year, 10 months agoAlthough he has been overshadowed by the primaries in recent weeks, George W. Bush regained center stage at Propeller this time around--along with discussions of bigotry, WMDs, and marijuana. (No inhaling, folks.)

Feb. 1, 2008, 2:44 p.m.Dose of lucidity ? Man , I was gettin' high at 11 years old , drinking wine at the park at 10 years old . I've owned three succesful businesses and raised a fine teenage son . Maybe that's the acception to the rule , I dunno . Pot needs to be legalized , just like alcohol was back in the twenties . Alcohol is not only a drug , it's a poison and embraced by most adults only 'cause it's legal . Could the lobbiests for liquor have something to do with legalization of weed ?

Feb. 1, 2008, 3:07 p.m.I can't say I agree with you. I make a real effort to highlight comments from both sides of the aisle, including plenty of anti-Bush statements. But I'll keep this in mind going forward.

Feb. 1, 2008, 3:37 p.m.James, I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you for that new automatic F13 key de-germing widget you guys created. Germs are dangerous and it helps me sleep at night knowing you've got my back.
Let's see germ central Digg do THAT!

Feb. 2, 2008, 6:10 p.m.Don't worry about it, you didn't sound like you were trivializing. We may be in the market for a bigger nutshell, though.

Feb. 1, 2008, 5:29 p.m.Thanks JM for your weekly recap. I was just so disappointed that the primaries "overshadowed" Bush's riveting State of Delusion spiel that I can only imagine how many joints were lit for the prime time roundup. And speaking of "fresh accusations", I am still waiting for Bill Clinton to exhale.

Feb. 1, 2008, 5:41 p.m.Of late, I have noticed my real-world friends and fellow conservatives tending to dismiss George Bush as some sort of abberation who is "clearly" not representative of the Republican party. Pretty funny, coming from those who accused me of a lack of patriotism ( and worse) when I saw from the start who he was and by whom he was/is controlled.
This time, I am voting for whomever the Dem nominee turns out to be, and the consequences be damned.

Feb. 3, 2008, 6:10 p.m.The top story on Propeller's "front page" is now "I Hate TV" with 74 votes. But it appears that as many as 60 of those 74 are "sock puppets."
I reported this story when I first saw it lower on the page, and commented about the sock puppets then, so that the editors would know exactly what I saw wrong with its positioning among Propeller's most popular submissions. but nothing has been done to correct the situation.
As I mentioned in a previous WIR posting, a couple of weeks back, it has been my experience here that reporting a story does absolutely no good, because the editors do not act in response to these reports. The current situation is simply further evidence that what I had concluded is true, and that reporting improper use and violations of the TOU does no good.

Well, I certainly will defer to our resident authority on ignorance.
