Feb. 5, 2008, 11:56 a.m.The terrorists which are all Muslims are hell bent on the destruction of Israel. This goes back to the Bible days and the off spring of Hagar. It is a spiritual hate passed down through the generations. I feel sorry for the Jews and what they have gone through but in the end they will prevail with God's help.

Feb. 6, 2008, 1:47 p.m.Well rdy, if you had taken the trouble to read the articles, you would have seen that both were written by jews, one israeli and one american.
I suggest to you that these are two jews who have escaped "the banality of evil"
"""The Banality of Evil is a phrase coined in 1963 by Hannah Arendt in her work Eichmann in Jerusalem. It describes the thesis that the great evils in history generally, and the Holocaust in particular, were not executed by fanatics or sociopaths but rather by ordinary people who accepted the premises of their state and therefore participated with the view that their actions were normal."""

Feb. 6, 2008, 1:40 p.m.From the Hamas charter, "The time will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! there is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him! This will not apply to the Gharqad, which is a Jewish tree (cited by Bukhari and Muslim)."
"Article Thirteen: Peaceful Solutions, [Peace] Initiatives and International Conferences
[Peace] initiatives, the so-called peaceful solutions, and the international conferences to resolve the Palestinian problem, are all contrary to the beliefs of the Islamic Resistance Movement."

Feb. 6, 2008, 1:55 p.m.Hamas and the Palestinians just don't want peace. At least their psycho government doesn't. They should watch out. Israel doesn't take crap like this any more. They should retaliate immediately and strongly w/air assaults and take out known terrorist strongholds. Palestinian muslims make all muslims look bad.

Feb. 6, 2008, 2:08 p.m.Just another illustration: If EVERYONE in the middle East were to simply give up their religion - of ANY flavor - there WOULD be peace. They would all just be PEOPLE instead of "Jews" or "Muslims" or "Christians." The trouble is, having a religion automatically makes you too stupid (in most cases) to give it up. It's a sorry mess that they just can't see the simple solutions to because of religious blindness.

Feb. 6, 2008, 3:24 p.m.If you have any question as to why there has been no settlement of the fighting in the middle east. Just read hyperola's comments...it is thinking like his that bars any kind of civil discussion. which is why I blocked hyper three months ago.

Feb. 6, 2008, 4:17 p.m.You are absolutely right Hyperbola about the dynamic taking place in israel. This is a universe of cause and effect. The invasion/occupation of Palestine by white people from Europe is morally equivalent to Hitler's occupation of Europe in WWII. Only a bigot would deny this. This is the cause of the problem. Hamas is the effect, or reaction from this imposition. More and more Americans are waking up to this reality. You keep going Hyperbola.

Feb. 6, 2008, 8:13 p.m.And take a look at this....
http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1202...
The so-called "moderate" Palistinians of the West Bank (NOT the more extreme ones in Gaza) are busy using their Abbas controlled, state-run newspapers to GLORIFY the terrorists who perpetrated the suicide bombing in Dimona yesterday.
Tell me how you make peace with folks like this...

Feb. 6, 2008, 8:27 p.m.Anyone see this story?
"Thousands of Muslims Celebrate In Streets Of Gaza Upon News Of Dimona Homicide Attacks' Success
See for yourself in this video as palestinians in Gaza celebrate the double suicide attack in Dimona Monday by passing out flowers and candy, while giving praise to Allah.
As news of the attacks spread, drivers honked horns and passersby laughed with joy.
A Hamas spokesperson thanked Allah the attacks were successful, calling the bombings a 'glorious act.' Islamic Jihad took the same approach. It predicted that this year would be the year of bombings.
"In the name of Allah, may all of the attacks be like this. That will exterminate [the Israelis]. It will be easier for us. We will reach the South, Tel-Aviv and the heart of Israel([search]) ," an unidentified man in Gaza said."

You'd be hard pressed to find Israelis celebrating the death of Palestinians. There's a difference.

Feb. 7, 2008, 12:26 a.m.We pay a lot of attention to Islamic extremism, but we don't pay a lot of attention to Christian extremism or the extremism in the Jewish religion that is being used to justify what is going on today.
To the West, martyrdom has a really bad connotation because of suicide bombers (mostly instigated by MOSSAD, or CIA) the real martyrdom is actually something that historically was quite noble because it was about standing up and rejecting tyranny, rejecting injustice and rejecting oppression and, if necessary, dying for that.

Feb. 7, 2008, 12:26 a.m.Sounds like Hamas is getting desperate.
Will Israel invade the Gaza strip and crush them once and for all, or are they content with a tit-for-that campaign?

Feb. 7, 2008, 12:48 a.m.In the period of the Christian pogroms against the Jews who, upon being expelled from Spain, found refuge amidst Muslim communities around the Mediterranean and in Mesopotamia.. Western-Christian forces invade Muslim countries, kill innocent children, women and men by the tens of thousands..the Jewish Democracy uses the Bible to justify its very existence, kills thousands of Palestinians, dispossesses them of their land, their dignity, and their means of earning a decent living to feed their families.

Feb. 7, 2008, 12:55 a.m.The love affair between conservative Christians and Israel's hawkish head of state seems unlikely, but mutual interests notoriously make for strange bedfellows. Many fundamentalist Christians embrace the state of Israel because of its role in their own end-of-time theology. For its part, the right wing in Israel welcomes the economic and political support it receives from conservative Christians around the world and particularly in the United States..Others who don't subscribe to the end-of-time theology of dispensational premillennialism worry that the agenda pushed by the tactical alliance between Jewish and Christian fundamentalists will transform the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from a battle between two nationalities into a war of civilizations that will engulf the world.

Feb. 7, 2008, 1:19 a.m.In the so-called war on terror we seem to be at war with Islamic fundamenta... Islamists,... extremists,Violent Muslims, Islamic terrorists, jihadists. This is wrong. We are not fighting Muslims. We have fallen into the Rothschild (Bin Laden,MOSSAD,CIA,M16) trap.

Feb. 7, 2008, 1:27 a.m.Rothschild's tools (Bin Laden and his henchmen) have hijacked Islam perverted it into a religion of hatred, death and martyrdom and used it as a means to gain absolute control over the Middle East, America and eventually the New world.
Islam is not the enemy. Zioniest Bankers and the other terrorists are the enemy. This is not a religious war. It is a conflict with international gangsters who use terror to achieve their Hellish goals.

Feb. 7, 2008, 1:41 a.m.Christian and Jewish cultures are no more advanced than Muslim cultures, or no less developed if you prefer. The only difference seems to be that technology and relative wealthy comfort have served to mask the West's moral under-development that leads Westerners to believe that their lives are infinitely more valuable than those of their darker skinned brethren.

Feb. 7, 2008, 1:46 a.m.The question of suicide was even more problematic. There is no theological support for such action in Islam indeed, it is expressly prohibited. Do not kill yourself the Quran states. The hadith, or sayings of the Prophet, are replete with instances in which Mohammad condemns the action. The specific punishment for the suicide is to burn in hell and to be forever in the act of dying by means of the same instrument that was used to take his life. Even when one of his bravest warriors was severely wounded in battle and hurled himself upon his sword only to relieve his terrible suffering, Mohammad declared that he was damned. A man may do the deeds of the people of the Fire while in fact he is one of the people of Paradise, and he may do the deeds of the people of Paradise when in fact he belongs to the people of Fire, the Prophet observed. Verily, the rewards of the deeds are decided by the last actions.
