So if he goes into those talks with no stick to wave. Does that make him more effective. If they can sit across the table and say what are you going to do if we do not agree with you. You can't invade or attack us you haven't asked your congress for permission. Matter of fact you have attacked those in your congress who gave a President the permission to use the threat of force to negotiate. We don't care what you want you cannot dare go to congress and ask for a resolution authorizing the use of force since you have one your election simply by attacking those who did grant that to a president. We think your congress will not grant you that authorization based your history.

I watched Obama`s speech twice tonight, and I enjoyed it just as much the second time. It was awesome, powerful, and moving!

BTW, I cannot stand political speeches.

I was wavering, but now I am proud and glad that I caucused for Obama today. Oh, I haven`t sent money to a pol in years, but I did it today.

About what I expected with Obama tonight, though not this dramatically in margins. Huckabee is interesting and it will be funny to see if he can pull off the Washington win and end up beating out McCain by a nose, particularly if Romney's supporters go to Huckabee over McCain. Well, lets see what happens! Hope Obama pulls off an upset. I'm just worried about a solid Democratic base come the convention. A walk out by Obama could hurt if he can claim a back room deal of some sort. Look at the Republicans in 1912. The only way it will be entirely safe to choose Hillary, as matters stand, is if even without Florida and Michigan seated that she is ahead in the pledged delegates. If thats not the situation, or the situation isn't one of Obama being ahead even with all those unseated delegates seated and he gets the nomination, it can be ugly if no one is big enough to back down. I hope someone will be big enough at the convention to step down if needed!

Barack Obama will be the Democratic nominee and the ultimate President of the country on 1/20/2009.

He can debate at any time and any place and beat the s%^& out of that "my friend" hypocrite war mongering flip flop con artist from AZ.

It is about time to drive these same old grumpy lobby fudged white politicians out of power ranks in Washington. It is about time for a person like Obama to start meaningful dialogue with regimes in Middle East (leave Israel out) and bring about peace and unity out of deadly divisions the neo cons have brought about in the last 8 years.

It is about time to replace cluster bombs with olive branches.

It is about time to live out of tax revenues and stop getting loan checks from China to patrol streets of Baghdad.

Even though these were predicted victories by Senator Obama, the margins were all very impressive and not predicted. The Jefferson Jackson dinner speech that he gave last night in Virginia was quite good as was Senator Clinton's.

I predict Virginia will vote 'Blue' in November. Former governor Mark Warner will win the senate race in Virginia in a landslide.

It is not a sin if Barack's father is a muslim. His father is not in the elctions. It is his son. Get used to it as Obama will be here for a long long long time.

This is really going to be interesting

What is Howard Dean going to do - he is really in a tough spot.

Clinton is already pushing to get the delegates from FL & Michigan seated. She is also lobbying the super delegates

Can you imagine a back room with Howard Dean trying to get a deal cut with the candidates representatives - Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy!

Sheesh Dean must be having nightmares

I would like to hear those secrets now before he gets to the white house. George W. Bush's secrets came out after he got in. I really think he has brain damage from all the alcohol and drugs. His lack of humanity, is a common trait of most Alcoholics, they are unconscious of people in life and we have had a country of people that Bush has been most unconscious with.

You will here those secrets as soon as he is the nominee. The Republicans are waiting till the dems can't turn back and he has the nod before they start going after him. Why would they do it now and help hillary. Where is Al Gore?

Instead of listening to gossip from nominds, maybe people should read through all of the 152 bills Obmama has either sponsored or co-sponsored to learn the facts about Obama.

I am a careful person. I don't rush into anything. I wouldn't hire some based on an interview I would still check their background no matter how much they impressed me in the interview. I know people think Hillary is divisive but if you really look into it she is very well liked and respected in the senate on both sides of the aisle. Republicans and Democrats both say she is hardworking and very easy to work with. Republicans actually say they enjoy working with her. So I cannot figure out why so many people dislike her except that she has had 16 years of talk radio attacking her and that is a hard bell to unring. If Obama gets the nod I will have to take a long hard look at both the remaining candidates and I cannot say which I will vote for. I see a situation where I would be making up my mind in the both and that will be based on very practicle reasons not just because of party or popularity. That is just not how I do things.

And once again I will remind everyone. November is a long way off a lot can happen between now and then that will affect how people vote. I keep hearing that the Republicans can not win. That is dangerous thinking and you Dem's need to avoid it all cost. If the Republicans get a few good licks in some of the luster will be rubbed off Obama and many of your new young idealistic voters may become disappointed and not turn out. The real campaign starts in August that is when you will discover if you have a candidate who can withstand the onslaught that is coming. This is America and people will change their mind if they get nervous or something comes up that makes them question someone.

I like all the cards on the table showing. We have too many hidden cards, time flies and our country needs more than pretty inspiring speeches twirled with the past of people such as Regan who suffered Alzheimer's and the Bushes took over for that was the real happening then. It is not a wise thing to play a nation of people in stress over unfair laws and hardships. Our elected have brought harm to it's own. It's true we do want change but how that change comes is a very big deal. All I have seen is people buying the candidates. Every one of them are transparent. They have something to loose. they are not buying for what they appear to be buying for. There is always motive, motive can be a tricky thing.

Regardless of who wins the party nominations, I will defintiely not vote for someone who went to the National War College and will vote for someone who has the cognitive ability and intelligence to make reasoned thoughtout decisions.

For all those who were wondering. Crunched the numbers on the popular vote:

              Obama - 8,497,229

              Clinton - 8,728,811

This does not include the caucus states because they do not report actual votes so there is no way to calculate that. That is another reason I don't like caucus's.

I just read an article that suggested that McCain might pick Colon Powell or Jesse Watts as his running mate. I had never thought of that. I wonder what impact if any that might have on the electorial math in the general election. Would that pull in a wider range of moderates for him and leave Obama with just the Liberal base. I mean I know that is his strategy he already has a lot of moderate support if he can pull the majority of moderates, that would leave Obama with basically just the liberal support unless he is willing to make a sharp turn toward the center.
