Hollywood writers to vote on contract »

TV producers say they expect writers to return to work as early as Wednesday now that the Writers Guild of America has moved to end its three-month-old strike. Membership meetings will be held Tuesday in New York and Los Angeles, said Patric Verrone, president of the guild's West Coast branch.

      It was just on the news here last night that the strike has cost Los Angeles over $2 BILLION in lost revenue. The smaller businesses (catering, florists) were hit the hardest and a good deal have already gone completely out of business. It's a real shame and I'm glad to put this mess behind us.
