Posted by: Radiofreeeuropa 1 year, 10 months ago

Mark McKinnon, a senior campaign adviser to both President Bush and Sen. John McCain of Arizona, said he could not serve McCain if Sen. Barack Obama became the Democratic presidential nominee. "I met Barack Obama, I read his book, I like him a great deal" McKinnon said.

I'm afraid if you read between the lines McCain may be planning an old-style attack campaign, better to stay out of it. It's about being on the wrong side of history.

I hope not, But McCain just hasn't been right since the Bush camp sabotaged his 2000 run for the presidency. It was quite successful but highly immoral and a pack o' lies.

Good to know that there is a gentleman in McCain's team. Barack might have a shot at McCain, which I think Hillary might have a hard time.

I personally think that if he attacks Obama he will immediately be labled a racist. Anyone that goes after Obama will have to walk on eggshells.

I worry about this, too, DF. It's been a while since assassination has succeeded in the U.S., but I find it very suspicious that the last few times it has been it was always a liberal democrat that was the target. I hope Obama has the best people available around him at all times.

You know Hillary and MSM have questioned whether Obama has experience enough to be president. What?

He graduated in the top 1% of his class at Harvard Law School with a major in Constitutional Law, and was elected President of the Harvard Law Review - a great honor.( Hillary flunked the bar exam twice.) Obama could have gotten a high paying prestigious job, but opted to work as a community organizer in the poor sections of Chicago instead.

He was a Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago.

For her ENTIRE CAREER in Arkansas, Hillary worked as a CORPORATE LAWYER representing large companies in lawsuits against them.

Barack Obama served as State Senator of Illinois for 8 years, and he has been U.S. Senator for the last 3 years. He has a total of 11 years in elected public office.

Hillary has a total of 6 years in elected public office.

Can she really claim superior "experience"?

Don't misunderstand, I prefer Obama but if Hillary is nominated I'm ok with it.

Sounds like McKinnon knows the campaign would be dirty. On the one hand, I commend him for not wanting to smear Obama, but on the other hand, it sounds like he wouldn't have a problem with smearing Clinton. Does that negate whatever high ground he gains by refusing to do it to Obama?

I think that was top 10%(magna cum laude)in his class. Who knows if Obama would have been accepted if it were not for affirmitive action. I keep finding statements about Obama that fudge his credentials that make him sound a lot better than he really is.

"John McMaverick was against waterboarding before he was for it.

McCain was against Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy, before he was for them.

McCain missed 65% of the votes in the Senate this past year (2007) and only Tim Johnson missed more votes....he was recovering from brain aneurysm.

These are just some of McCain's flip-flops, I see one of the first Dem campaign commercials taking shape...

                                  So...McCain's advisor won't fight Obama.

I guess it flows downhill. It's not like McCain ever bothered to oppose liberalism in the Senate. Conservative talk radio wants to discuss ISSUES ???? Send in John McCain to curb free speech in the runup to an election. Billionaire Oprah wants to openly campaign for a CANDIDATE ???? Not one peep from John McSpineless.

I might as well support Obama. McCain and his ilk sure as hell do.

No matter who gets in, the American people are going to be in the same boat they're already in: wondering why our government let all the factory jobs go to Mexico or overseas, wondering why our government is letting in millions of uneducated, unskilled illegal aliens, wondering why labor unions have no power any more, wondering why the dollar is going down, down (British Pound: $1.94 when I last looked, Euro, $1.45)...wondering why we are fighting wars without end...wondering why our so-called "elected representatives" in Washington, D. C. talk big but do little. Wake up, people, our government has been bought by foreign governments and big business/money. It's time for a change all right, but we Americans can't make that change as long as we believe the propaganda we see on TV every day. Find Link TV & Free Speech TV on your TVs and get something besides state propaganda, & read American Free Press. All have web sites.

I actually think the sad thing is that most of you don't deserve a good leader, and don't even know what one would be if you saw it. And if god forbid something did happen to -ANY- good leader, all of you would just wallow in confused self pity as always. The perpetraitors would hide in plain sight, and you Americans would waddle along pulling the wool over your own eyes. Listening to a$$-hats like JoseMadre poison the well by being glibly negative.

The experience part is just the beginning of the attack. It's when they go after him for his name and his fater being a Muslim, that's whaen things are going to get ugly. See they don't have much on him, unlike the other politicians. So they need some fodder for the right-wing meat grinder. If none comes out then they will resort to racial attacks, then his family, then his father's religion, then his pastor. Anything that can smear or villify this candidate. If they took the partisan horse blinders off, they would see a person that's capable of changing things. Change is a foreign subject to conservatives, because it's worked for them for a long time. Some people like America just the way it is, and changing their minds is not probable in the foreseeable future.
