Feb. 19, 2008, 12:38 p.m.What makes one ruler any better than the next or the next elected one? Case in point George W Bush. Democracy is a word used or I should say misused much these days. There is such thing as a elected dictatorship and history shows it is no different than one forced upon the people. It has been thousands of years since the world has experienced true democracy at work. Look to the Greeks to see how it should be done.

Feb. 19, 2008, 6:09 p.m.When you think back, it really is amazing the the ol' Tito was able to keep the former Yugoslavia together while he was alive. For part of the period during which he was doing it he was dodging assassination attempts by Stalin too.
