Feb. 19, 2008, 6:04 a.m.I am totally amazed. I did not think he would step down until his death was announced. I suspect that is coming next. Is Castro anything like that guy from Weekend at Bernie's?

Feb. 19, 2008, 10:32 a.m.If our state department has ANY freaking brains there at all, there is ALREADY someone on Cuba - or on the way - to talk to Raul. MAYBE he isn't quite as dense as Fidel. Anyway, regardless of that it offers an opportunity to normalize relations with one of our closest neighbors. Which I can't help but think would be a GOOD thing.

don't admire his policies, but I certainly admire his stamina. CIA attempts on his life, the Bay of Pigs...
Your an idiot, Talk to the starving people there and ask them about how they admire him, his a dictator, a killer, just like Chavez and all the rest. It is exactly we will have with Hillary

Feb. 19, 2008, 11:35 a.m.Now it is time for Republicans to invade Cuba and force democracy down their throats.
John McCain is quite able with his Iraq experience.

Feb. 19, 2008, 11:39 a.m.How can Castro be different from Bush? If Castro tortured his captives, so did Bush and he still has 10 months left. Actually Bush went a step further. He ordered kidnapping unsuspecting people off the streets in various parts of the world, holed them up in CUBA and tortured them.

Feb. 19, 2008, 11:46 a.m.If bush wants to force democracy down some throats, why doesen't he try China. He's really good at destroying nations that can't possibly stand up to us. Why not lock horns with someone that won't take his sh$t.
