    FTA:

The country's religious police arrested the men Thursday night for behavior that also allegedly included dancing to pop music blaring from their cars and wearing improper clothing, reported the Okaz newspaper, which is deemed close to the government.

Saturday's newspaper report did not say what kind of outfits the young men were wearing, but T-shirts emblazoned with drawings or English writing are often an invitation for harassment by the religious police. Islamic radicals also consider pop music a corrupting force.

    OMG, HAHAHAHAHA!

What could be possibly be shown to even merit a lewd comment: "Hiyah toots! Shake that shawl, lift that veil!"

(I wonder if *The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice* has a picture of me in their post office for similar offences here?)

      ;o)

Maybe they were playing Britney Spears music and wearing a T-shirt with her image on it. LOL

That could be considered offensive. HA HA HA HA.

Seriously, The thought police are out there. Who knows what these rigidly, brutish jokers find offensive. It could be as little as a longing glance.

Well, there goes democracy! The clothes police would never be done arresting people here in America!

People are free to live under whatever kind of government that they want to. If they want to live in a theocracy then so be it. I'm sure that they don't have to worry about leaving their cars or homes unlocked.

On the other hand I'm willing to accept some annoying neighbors and crime for greater personal freedoms.

The thing that I don't get is all the hyper criticism that I read of Israel, and there are reasons to be critical of the Israeli government, but come on at least you are free to flirt in Israel. If you want to criticize human rights in Israel then at least be fair and criticize the countries where people can't flirt, can't be seen with a male who isn't a relative, can't expose their hair and can't live openly homosexual lives.
