What we basically suffer from in the world is immaturity, if we were a mature people peace would be assured.
In the final analysis only when we become more peaceful people will we live in a more peaceful world.
I walk until given shelter, I fast until given food, I do not ask, these things must be given, and just think, without ever asking these things have been supplied, people are good.
Peace has become a matter of survival, and even the most immature people wish to survive.

Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek but a means by which we arrive at that goal. - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Nice, truthi. I like the new blog, look forward to seeing your work here.
We need more people like Peace Pilgrim. Still, you cannot meet all evils with non-violence. At least, that's my opinion. I think some evils have to be met with violence, otherwise evils will continue for longer than necessary.
Could we have let Hitler have his Fortress Europe? I think in the long run, perhaps Nazism would have gone the way of the dodo bird. But before it was all over, would the Holocaust have exterminated more than 6 million?(if that number is wrong, I apologize, I might be thinking of only the Jews).
I guess my point is that sometimes evil cannot be met only with passive goodness...there are things worth fighting and dying for in the name of goodness.

I too believe that if someone attacks you, you should defend yourself.
but what if the Germans had refused his message of hate?
what if post WW1 germany hadn't been treated with hate and anger, but forgiven and treated well.. would hitler have had a fertile ground?
in the end violence perpetuates violence, and anger perpetuates anger, and hate perpetuates hate.
you make peace treaties with you enemies (there is no need with your friends)
if we want peace, we must change our habits.
