This is the way of peace: overcome evil with good, falsehood with truth, and hatred with love. The basic conflict in our world today is not between nations it is between two opposing beliefs; the belief that you can oppose evil with evil, and this is the war way, and the belief that evil can only be overcome by good, that is the basic conflict i

What we basically suffer from in the world is immaturity, if we were a mature people peace would be assured.

In the final analysis only when we become more peaceful people will we live in a more peaceful world.

I walk until given shelter, I fast until given food, I do not ask, these things must be given, and just think, without ever asking these things have been supplied, people are good.

Peace has become a matter of survival, and even the most immature people wish to survive.

everyone here on Propeller has much to say about war, crime, hate, immigration, and politics... how about some commentary on peace. the one thing all peoples claim to admire and few work towards.

Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek but a means by which we arrive at that goal. - Martin Luther King, Jr.

I met Peace Pilgrim, when I was in high school.

She was the type of person that leaves an impression and is not forgotton.

Nice, truthi. I like the new blog, look forward to seeing your work here.

We need more people like Peace Pilgrim. Still, you cannot meet all evils with non-violence. At least, that's my opinion. I think some evils have to be met with violence, otherwise evils will continue for longer than necessary.

Could we have let Hitler have his Fortress Europe? I think in the long run, perhaps Nazism would have gone the way of the dodo bird. But before it was all over, would the Holocaust have exterminated more than 6 million?(if that number is wrong, I apologize, I might be thinking of only the Jews).

I guess my point is that sometimes evil cannot be met only with passive goodness...there are things worth fighting and dying for in the name of goodness.
