"Obamas-ar... slur travel in the blink of an eye from the Jack Kingstons, Fox News adolescent McCarthyites, and Bill Kristols of the world to AP, MSNBC, and CNN. That's just how the right-wing/media nexus works.

this is the first time I have ever heard Chris Mathews, Tom Brokaw, Tim Russett, Keith Obermann, Wolf Blitzer, Larry King and all ever described as members of the right wing media......you all need to get some perspective here, but what can you expect from Salon.Com

What I find laughable is the fact that B.O.'s fans are not smart enough to see that the vast majority of smear tactics being used against him are coming from the clinton camp.

This article is right on target. I'm so proud of the Political Left for always taking the moral high ground. I'm certain I'd be able to go onto sites like Huffington Post and Democratic Underground and find a complete absence of baseless, inflammatory, personality-based insults and/or smears of Republican politicians.
I'm so sure...I'm not even going to go check. It's just a matter of the faith I have that the Democrats, Progressives, and Lefties would never stoop so low.
Sniff...sniff...I'm just so durn proud of 'em.

The media is such a huge part of the whole problem. I know the article takes its shots in a certain direction but the media has to stop being such a gossip column for whichever political camp wants to play them today.

WHY do interviewers never ask these fear mongers this one simple question:
Terrorists were planning an attack against the U.S.before 9/11. Intelligence communities all over the world managed to figure it out, and even pinned it down to the use of planes. Our intelligence community passed this information on to the bush administration. All done WITHOUT the use of illegal wiretapping. Why is it now the ONLY way to figure out terrorist activity?
My gawd. Does no one think any more? If the obscene bush administration had done its job, 9/11 would not have happened. If the obscene bush administration had LISTENED to the warnings that our intelligence agencies were fractured and not sharing information, the agents who found the terrorists learning to fly wouldn't have been ignored. If the obscene bush administration had LISTENED and ACTED, 9/11 wouldn't have happened. It was all right there in front of their noses. All without illegal wiretaps.
