  From voting to give Bush full power over the war, to voting against making the US follow the UN security council, to parroting the WMD, and Al-Qaeda 'connections' to Iraq, she really did show how gullible and unqualified she really is to be president.

    I'm more cynical than you---I don't think gullible had anything to do with her vote.

    I absolutely agree. "Ready on day one." OK. Ready to do what? To follow the Neocons madly into their next war of choice because you don't want to get labeled weak on defense? Is positioning yourself for the upcoming election more important than positioning the US on the moral high ground?

    The big problem with this argument is that anyone who accepts it will immediately conclude that McCain has WAY more experience than Hillary, so she looses the general election among the "Experience is the only measure" crowd.

    James Buchanan was arguably the most experienced president ever to occupy the oval office. He was called Mr. Government because of his depth of executive and legislative experience. He presided over the dissolution of the union and the beginning of the Civil War. Ignoring George W. Bush, he is arguably the worst president the country has ever had.

    He was succeeded by Republican Abraham Lincoln, who restored the union. Lincoln was arguably the lest experienced president ever to serve, but also among the best. He triumphed against the most incredible challenge ever to face the office.

    Don't take the measure of experience. Take the measure of the person.
