Food shortages loom as wheat crop shrinks and prices rise »
Posted by: berkeley 1 year, 10 months agoExperts blame climate change as heatwaves caused a slump in harvests last year in eastern Europe, Canada, Morocco and Australia, all big wheat producers. Booming populations and a switch to a meat-rich diet in the developing world also mean that about 110m tons of the world's annual wheat crop is being diverted to feed livestock.

Feb. 27, 2008, 6:57 p.m.kludlow , you are too funny . My buddy used ethanol for his Ford [ugh] Ranger because it was half the price of gas . But , he used twice as much . So there is no savings there . Your third post is what I was gonna say originally . As far as global warming goes , it's minus 8 in the northeast where I'm at and we just got dumped on again with another 18 inches of snow . Global warming my ass .
