"Qari Saifullah Akhtar -- a top extremist leader accused by Bhutto of plotting against her in a book published after her assassination in December -- was seized on Monday, interior minister Hamid Nawaz told AFP."
"Most probably he is involved in the attack in Karsaz on Benazir Bhutto's rally. He is a big character," Nawaz said, referring to the October attack on Bhutto's homecoming parade in Karachi's Karsaz district that killed 139 people."
"Two-time premier Bhutto was unharmed in that attack, but was killed two months later in another assassination attempt, in Rawalpindi at an election rally."

Naturally, men of that nature who would kill women for standing up for the right things in life and being a leader just tares the male ego apart. He bragged about it thinking it would make him look more of a man when he actually showed what a wimpy he is. Maybe he will talk.

The PPP party has totally rejected the cause, investigation and arrest of suspects by the military dictator. They still rely on the "conspiracy" theory and US hand. According to some local newspapers they see some hypocrisy.
. US wanted elections. When the PPP and the Nawaz Sharif's party won, Bush calls the military dictator and congratulates him. His party routed. So far Bush has not called and congratulated the winning leaders.
. US initiated trial of Sadam said he killed thousands of Kurd militants fighting for freedom. Sadam was found guilty and executed.
. This week Turkey supported by US military attacked the same Kurd freedom fighters and killed hundreds.
Some food for thought for democrats.

I don't think you understand the role President Musharraf holds. He is in power for the next 6 years. Bhutto was the former Prime Minister. Even if she won, Musharraf would remain for his term. As to other claims, he doesn't have the death camps, killing fields or other population controls that Saddam did. To say he's a nice guy wouldn't be true, he doesn't tolerate riots or crime but he's been a much better leader then the previous Bhutto lead one.
The United States did not support the attacks or invasion of Iraq.

So let me get this straight. The group that feels women should be barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen, is accused of killing her. And the Yard investigation support this? Then why question it.
Bhutto was very corrupt, I am surprised it wasn't one of the major business parties. When her family ran the country, corruption, bribes and the like was the law of the land. The press and even some of the conservatives tried to make it all her husband but she was right in there. You want to build a plant or power station, they always managed to find someone in her family that needed some sort of fee or home or Mercedes. When she fell from power, things were better. I hope whomever takes over will continue the reforms started by the military. Hard to believe but they executed officials who insisted on bribes.

Yes, Yes. A dictator can suspend the constitution, dismiss the justices of the supreme court, appoint his friends and have them appoint him the President for next 6 years.

USA is the occupying power and government in Iraq. It has its military & air force making raids, blowing up buildings and bombings. Turkey cannot invade North Iraq without the permission of USA government in Iraq.

Yes. A military man can take his army, arrest PM, parliament members, hold them in confinement and declare himself the President. He can shut down TV stations & newspapers and allow only his stories of how good it is now.

My session timed out, may be Bush was reading my post!!!!!!.
Here is the last paragraph:
..... and the Secretary of State Rice said this week that the new Cuba leader should set up democratic process, restore human rights, release political prisoners.
Can there be any more hypocrisy in the world than what we are seeing in USA???????...

As unpopular as your message may be to the right wing-nuts among us, what you say makes a great deal of sense.
After the eons of failure of the "Do as I say, not as I do." mantra, why on earth do the cons think it is suddenly going to start to resonate around the world in the 21st century?
