We don't need no stinkin' hurricanes.....
Hell no. We got guys to blow a few pipelines, light a few fires, and screw up a few refineries. (We haven't even begun to tap the terrorist labor market yet) And then we make a fortune on the futures while we bid oil up to, oh, say $125 or even maybe $150 per barrel. Whoooeeeee! Sky's the limit. Next year's oil company profits will make last year's look like nothing !
We gotcha by the short hairs and there ain't a damn thing you schmucks can do except pay through the nose and like it.
We paid plenty to get that dumb Texas village idiot elected, now it's pay day!
Meanwhile, we'll keep feeding you the same sh!t through Fox news and our other outlets about Chinese demand, supply and demand, and all that other bullsh!t. How do you spell CARTEL ? We TOTALLY control production. We totally control the price. And you suckers will just never get it.
Kaching, kaching, kaching. Trillions for us, sucks to you!

You do realize that most of these "accidents" are for the sole purpose of destabilizing our economy during election cycles. Granted there are true accidents, but look at the numbers of these accidents that occur during election years. There is a definite noticeable pattern.

Gee, what a suprise! I wonder how far beyond the norm their profits will be next year. At least they didn't kill anyone staging this "accident" at least not that they mentioned. I still think that if China and India is using more gasoline, charge THEM more for it, not us. These vultures won't be happy until the entire world is in a recession.

But are we exporting gasoline to Nigeria? http://www.platts.com/Oil/News/8542753.xml
'haven't researched this so maybe it's inconsequential, but it sure doesn't smell right.
By the way, it may be that ethanol requires more oil to produce than it saves. Research into and development of solar energy should be this country's highest priority regarding energy.

I have read a few things that say that the amount of energy it takes to produce ethanol is close or exceeds the the amount of energy it produces. I do know it does not have as much energy density as gasoline. But the thing I find the most unusual is the fact that corn prices got run up to such highs before alot of this new ethanol production capacity came online. Just seems odd to me.
