Feb. 29, 2008, 6:54 a.m.I'd really love to know how the Govt's get away with claiming that inflation is x%, as they quite obviously don't include oil/gas etc in their calculations.....
This is gonna hurt, AGAIN !!!

Feb. 29, 2008, 11:11 a.m.You do realize that most of these "accidents" are for the sole purpose of destabilizing our economy during election cycles. Granted there are true accidents, but look at the numbers of these accidents that occur during election years. There is a definite noticeable pattern.

Feb. 29, 2008, 12:11 p.m.Gee, what a suprise! I wonder how far beyond the norm their profits will be next year. At least they didn't kill anyone staging this "accident" at least not that they mentioned. I still think that if China and India is using more gasoline, charge THEM more for it, not us. These vultures won't be happy until the entire world is in a recession.

Feb. 29, 2008, 7:58 p.m.Has anyone else read how ethanol projects are going broke because of a run up in the price of corn. Makes sense when you have a Commodity Market that has been set up to allow manipulation.

Feb. 29, 2008, 10:59 p.m.But are we exporting gasoline to Nigeria? http://www.platts.com/Oil/News/8542753.xml
'haven't researched this so maybe it's inconsequential, but it sure doesn't smell right.
By the way, it may be that ethanol requires more oil to produce than it saves. Research into and development of solar energy should be this country's highest priority regarding energy.
