Posted By Aidenag 1 year, 8 months ago in NewsFor months now, neo-conservatives have been having an Internet field day posting lies and rumors designed to convince people believe that Obama is a Muslim plant of some kind. From the e-mails I keep getting, some people are buying in to it all.

I can't convince any of the people i know that Obama isn't a Muslim, and that's the only reason they give for not wanting to vote for him. Just sad, frankly, i think it's more race related, and they don't want to admit it, so they play the Muslim card.

N2N, believing him to be a Muslim is a convenient way to disqualify yet another Dem in yet another presidential race. I've seen friends and family play this game every 4 years for my entire life. For example, last election they disqualified Kerry because his wife told a reporter to "shove it". They were so offended that they could not possibly consider Kerry. LOL. As if they were ever considering voting Democratic.

n2n:
I know Obama is not a Muslim plant. He's an American politician. LOL
Seriously I have checked out his beliefs on the internet. He seems to be a Christian. I say seems to be because so did GW Bush and look how that turned out. "Grimacing look on my face"
As far as being race related probably. I've stated before I think he needs more seasoning. Still if he is the candidate what choice do I have? To continue more of the same ludicrous, vile, poisionous policies that have marked the Bush regime. No thanks I'll take my chances with Obama and pray for him as I did for Bush.

There are so many reasons, one big reason is that he is a black and there are many other reasons that why he is being demonised by his opponents and this video is for the fear mongers, racial profilers, war lovers, radical far right extremists, religious fanatics, hate militants, intolerant Evangelicals, privacy invaders, "un-Patriot-ic Act" endorsers, KKK and Zionism supporters.

Most of these neocon nut-jobs that emphasize Obama's middle name or his church affiliation don't care whether their absurd accusations are true or not.
These are unprincipled bigots who hate liberals, Blacks, and "hyphenated" Americans and care nothing about abiding by the rules of fair play. The mudslinging has only just begun...
It is truly disturbing ... and to think that these creeps actually believe that they are the real patriots. How insane!
The most disconcerting aspect is that main stream media now highlights this kind of Nazi propaganda... whereas there was a time that it was reported as perverted extremist ideology; just as it is.

Senator Obama is a Muslim, and I am Pope Schlomo. What difference does it make what religion he is? No one should care about that! If he follows the rule of law, can abide by laws passed by a duly elected Congress, and obeys and upholds the Constitution all while protecting troops, and saving money, then I don't care if he worships Dairy Queen. Far as I am concerned that might be better. Then we might be offered two DQ Blizzards in every home....mmmm, pardon me, I am getting hungry.

It matters very little weather he is or not, firstly because if he is the guy the military industrial complex has picked to be president, he will be...regardless, secondly because I really don't care. I'm not voting for him, hillary, mccain, or anyone for that matter. After bush, I'm convinced that voting means nothing.

Voting means nothing huh? Then why do they start with 6-8 people on both sides and they start dropping out depending on if they get voted on or not until there is one left from both parties?
Wow that has to be the biggest faked thing on the planet and we all fell for it. To think we and they could have saved all that contrubution money!

I listen to what each of the candidate's have to say in their speeches, plus Q & A sessions, not to the rumors and innuendo's.
Thanks Neo for the heads up on this article.
Thanks Mark!

I am planning to vote for Obama, but when I read this kind of hostility toward conservatives, it makes me want to run the other way. You would get a lot further convincing people Barack isn't a secret Muslim if you didn't start off by calling them idiots. And in their defense, there is a lot of misinformation out there, and plenty of it is coming from "friends" of the Clinton campaign. They have the right and the duty to question these things, and it is our job to inform them of the truth. But like the saying goes, You get more flies with honey than with vinegar.
Besides, most of these people aren't going to vote for Obama anyway, so why call them names? It just raises the tension between the parties, something Obama is trying to end. Or at least decrease. :P

The commenters didn't call the "believers" of the crap "idiots" - The article did.
I absolutely know that the people who intentionally perpetuate the falsehoods are NOT idiots. They are liars and they are evil, but they are NOT idiots.
There is NO excuse for ANYONE in the media to report anything as TRUTH if they do NOT verify their 'data'. The media has a RESPONSIBILITY to report ACCURATE information, NOT gossip.
You are correct - most of "those" people probably won't vote for ANY democrat because they already are devotees of the right-wing 'pundits' that continue to spout the lies and innuendos when they KNOW that the information is FALSE.

First of all, you're an idiot for not knowing the difference between "your" and "you're".
Now Obama isn't a Muslim, but he's definitely a Communist. During his Senate campaign, he accepted a donation and endorsement from the American Communist Party. Also, take a look at this video, its from the office of "volunteers" for the Obama campaign in Houston, here's the link:
http://www.myfoxhouston.com/myfox/pages/Home/De...
Who's that picture of on the Cuban flag hanging on the back wall? That's right, kids! Its Che Guevara! And besides being on the cool T-shirts that all the kids wear, who is Che Guevara? That's right, he was Castro executioner during the Cuban Revolution. Wake up people, the future of our Republic is at stake here.

Hillary is a Neo-Con?
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/26/us/politics/2...
"Mrs. Clinton's new campaign manager, Maggie Williams, recently appointed to bring a tougher hand to the operation, issued a withering reply, not taking responsibility for the photograph but attacking the Obama campaign for suggesting that the photograph amounted to fear-mongering imagery.
"Enough," Ms. Williams's statement began. "If Barack Obama's campaign wants to suggest that a photo of him wearing traditional Somali clothing is divisive, they should be ashamed. Hillary Clinton has worn the traditional clothing of countries she has visited and had those photos published widely."

The crap about Obama being a Muslim or any other innuendo about his race or religion is not coming from the Clinton camp and you know it.
Funny, how the neo-cons complain about how liberal and wrong the NYT is UNTIL the NYT posts a story that favors their 'views'.

Even if he were a Muslim, what of it? There is nothing in the constitution or other law that should prevent a Muslim from serving as president.
For all the talk here about racism people seem to lose sight of the fact that excluding people based on their religion, or lack thereof, is just as bigoted.
So much for America, the land of the free. It's looking much more like the land of Christian bigots.

a few knuckleheads on propeller shouldn't be viewed as representative of the country as a whole. If he had to rely on the black vote only he wouldn't have gotten where he is. The man has substance and will make a great President.
My hope is that an Obama Presidency will raise the bar again for the highest office in the land. (Right now the bar is so low a slug might have trouble passing under it.)

What shocks me the most is that the American people, who have been screwed so hard up the pooper by the Bush administration, still buy their lies.
Case in point:
I was at the counter at my local cafe and I was talking to the woman (probably in her mid 30s) about who she was going to vote for. She told me McCain, even though she was going to vote for Obama. I asked her why she changed her mind.
"Because Obama didn't salute the flag. He hates this country. And I have children to worry about!"
If I could have reached over the counter and shoved my coffee straight up her Starbucks I would have.
As PT Barum once said, "there's a sucker born every minute"... so I guess that's why people still vote Republican!

The section of Americans or zealots who are making an issue of Barack's middle name are racist pigs. They are making the country a racist pit with intolerance for names other than Jennifer, Mike, Bill and other BS.
Compare this to India. It is a true secular democracy. The President of Hindu India was a MUSLIM in the last term. The current President is a WOMAN. The Prime Minister is a SIKH.
What a bunch of hypocrites judging a person by his name.

Here is an ad I found in a remote town newspaper. Guess where it could be:
"WANTED. A MALE VIETNAM OR IRAQ VETERAN, AT LEAST 70 OR OLDER TO APPEAR IN COMMERCIALS FOR A NEW LINE OF PRODUCTS INCLUDING DENTURES, HEARING AIDS, CRAFTMATIC ADJUSTABLE BEDS, PILLS FOR ED AND WRINKLE CREAMS."

Yikes, freaky comments on this board, I think I lost a little more of my innocence. We really need a truth in campaigning bi-partisan comittee who reviews any information before allowing campaign ads to be run. So that people like these or the FDD (buncha idiot you-know-what-cks there) don't get in

Klariss,
I'm sorry to say that I am, in fact, one person and one person alone. I think it speaks volumes about our society that anyone who uses the English language properly is suspect in some people's eyes.
Then again, I guess that after almost eight years of having a stumbling child-king in power who couldn't string a cohesive sentence together to save his soul, I shouldn't be all that surprised. This is typically referred to as "The dumbing down of America".
And what is "1960s language" anyway? Last I checked, we were using the same words back then that we are now. Just curious, you see!
Yours in sunshine,
Doctor Benway
