Feb. 29, 2008, 7:30 p.m.The old man in Rome is pushing around the US again. He is convinced that gays are a threat to humanity and world peace. I suspect though that the Catholic church is directly responsible for far more murders and far more pain and death than all the gays ever in history. He is so arrogant and unapproachable, that he has driven away more Catholics than he has attracted.

March 1, 2008, 12:31 a.m.This particular Pope is odd. He fired the Vatican astronomer for saying he believed in evolution (something the church has said was ok since the 50s) he also has condemned all music since Gregorian Chant as corrupted. The man is a loon.

March 1, 2008, 1:01 a.m.Kinda funny to me that the Catholic clergy, who are famed for their male-on-male pedophilia, are so obsessed with banning gay sex. What? Do they want it all for themselves?

March 1, 2008, 9 a.m.How many of you out there think the pope is gay?
Anybody watch him prance around the altar, what a princess if I ever saw one.
I think he is a real serious closet case and self loathing.
Of course this is his campaign of mass distraction from real issues he should be dealing with, such as contraception in poor countries, his pedophile following and the criminal Vatican bank his organization runs, to name a few.
Everyone can remember Mr. Bush and the dangers of gay marriage and the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
How does or can anyone believe these people anymore???

March 1, 2008, 12:41 p.m.The blood of that young man who was shot in Florida at school is on his hands.
Anyone who supports keeping gay people as second class citizens in this country has blood on their hands.
You are the reason that young man was shot.

March 1, 2008, 1:42 p.m.Gays and lesbians are not allowed to marry except in one state. Civil unions are touted as reaching out to gay constituents, by all the politicos running for office, as if tossing us table scraps will assure our vote. In a close election, even 3% of the electorate makes a huge difference. We are the last bastion of insulted and degraded people. Now, the Pope has the audacity to say we are a threat to humanity and is coming to America to deliver his message personally. He should stay in Italy and keep his fat yap shut.

March 1, 2008, 2:38 p.m.I think he's an incredibly EVIL man. Needs to do a little more "Onanism" -- it might relax him. Hamy, I agree with your post -- it's people like old Ratzi who promote homophobia.

March 1, 2008, 2:50 p.m.The Pope is just another idiotic, misguided politician with a too much power and influence for any ones good.

March 2, 2008, 2:36 a.m.The Pope has a grasp of the insidious corrupting presence that the gay population harbours. This is a group that needs rehabilitation not integration.
