Feb. 29, 2008, 8:19 p.m.Why not have disclaimers regarding inertia, van der Waals forces, atomic theory, and numerous other ideas all of which have been proposed and tested repeatedly? The trouble with the idiots that disclaim science and reason is that they lack a rudimentary understanding of either.

March 1, 2008, 1:58 p.m.It is a mistake to call the theory 'Gravity'. Just as ant-evolutionists prefer to refer to 'Darwinism', rather than Evolution. Makes it more personal; allows the argument to wander into personal asides.
Gravity should be refered to as 'Newtonism'.

A Theory is the highest classification in science. A Theory can never become anything other than a Theory. It is the umbrella which all the facts, observations and Laws underneith it support.
This is why we have both a Law and a Theory of Gravitation.
