One sample: "This textbook asserts that gravity exists. Gravity is a theory, not a fact, regarding a force that cannot be directly seen. This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully, and critically considered."

Why not have disclaimers regarding inertia, van der Waals forces, atomic theory, and numerous other ideas all of which have been proposed and tested repeatedly? The trouble with the idiots that disclaim science and reason is that they lack a rudimentary understanding of either.

Anyone who thinks the Flintstones is a documentary deserves to be pushed into the primordial ooze and re-invented as a human with a brain.

I wonder if countries outside of the U.S. have to listen to this kind of crapola from those who know nothing? Is there a debate in England over whether evolution should be taught?

Chucklebee is one of the candidates who believes in "intelligent design." That alone should disqualify him.

It is a mistake to call the theory 'Gravity'. Just as ant-evolutionists prefer to refer to 'Darwinism', rather than Evolution. Makes it more personal; allows the argument to wander into personal asides.

Gravity should be refered to as 'Newtonism'.

To anyone who thinks gravity is just a theory should find a local bridge, and jump. They will be killing two birds with one stone. They will be proving that both gravity, and Darwinism are real.

Once again no one seems to know what a theory is...

A Theory is the highest classification in science. A Theory can never become anything other than a Theory. It is the umbrella which all the facts, observations and Laws underneith it support.

This is why we have both a Law and a Theory of Gravitation.
