Light shines on an issue that threatens our way of life and the American dissident spirit that made us unique in the annals of past social structures. Are we too distracted to notice or care -- as the blood of those who fought and died for our rights is diminished by our apathy?>>>>>>

Part of the problem is the brain washing that has occurred over the past 2 or 3 decades, teaching Americans (and much of the rest of the world) that our history & heritage is nothing but corruption and so not worth preserving. Combine that with the prevalent culture of greed and desire for instant gratification (not being fulfilled) and you have a people who think that ANY change cannot be worse than that which we now have, yet unwilling to do that hard work to make positive change.

Another part of the problem is that the system THRIVES on alienating those who would use it to make things better for everyone.
You could have a petition with one million names on it, but anything short of direct democracy will prove that the system is failed, and paid off to.
