    FTA:

Security has improved markedly since last summer when the last of five Army brigades arrived in Iraq to complete the president's buildup of 30,000 troops. One brigade has already returned home and the four others are to leave by July. What remains unclear is whether Bush will order additional drawdowns in the final months of his presidency.

"There is going to be enormous speculation," he said. "My sole criterion is, whatever we do, it ought to be in the context of success."

He is claiming that he will follow the recommendations of his generals. A little late for that, though he has given us the impression that Petraeus is making most of the war decisions now.

"...whatever we do, it ought to be in the context of success."

How would a man like that define success? Record profits for Haliburton and the oil companies? The privitization of the military? "Only" thirty Americans killed this month?

I think that Bush will ensure that Iraq provides the "October surprise" that Karl Rove says is necessary for the repugs to win the elections.

Bush ought to follow his own advice and stop exporting terror.

We are not safer now than we were before we invaded Iraq. It seems to me Bush is trying make the prophecies of Armageddon come true.

I guess he and his other supposed Christian friends don't get that just because something is prophsized. Doesn't make it the will of God. It just means God has seen what man will do with his free will.

Then God will step in and stop the foolishness of the greedy evil men who follow satan.

Keep it up Bush you are showing what you worship you joker.

Maybe he is being used by God, I don't know. God uses everyone for his purpose no matter what beliefs we hold.

Further someone with basic commonsense know that a "peace achieved with F15s, Artillery, AK47 & machine guns" will end when those instruments are gone!!!!!!...

It is the people who have to achieve peace and harmony.

That cannot happen in the historic hatred between Shiite, Sunni and Kurds sects.

It is a refreshing feeling that the next democratic President of USA will be elected by the people and NOT selected by the Supreme Court.

The rhyme "Hail to the Thief" can finally be replaced by "Hail to the Chief".

The Iraqis will not willingly give up sucking the U.S. tax payers dry. Bush will not willingly give up his sending OUR money to HIS favorite corporations.

Congress, where are you? Do your job and end this mess.

Let the Iraqis know that the U.S.-sponsored gravy train is over.

The Iraqis need to police their own country.

This will not happen if Iraq poster boy for Bush, McCain gets elected. The gravy train will be making daily stops to Baghdad from China via US Treasury, if you what I mean.
