March 1, 2008, 3:37 p.m.Shatner wasn't a good actor when he ran around in his polo pyjamas, (NB - correct spelling of PJ's); he's not all that good as an upper crust Boston lawyer (Boston's got lawyers??? I thought they only had the BIG DIG!!); he's worse as a stand-up comedian (see this clip once again).
The U.S. has him - please, to cement favourable (NB - the correct spelling of favourable) relationships between our two countries - Keep Him!!!

March 2, 2008, 7:36 p.m.The second bananas on the original Star Trek sure seem to hate this guy, but, if there wasn't some guy like Shatner, I don't think Trek would have become the cult show it is now. And, it's cool that some guy IN his 70's can still entertain. He was a pretty boring actor in the 70's and 80's, or, I should say, his potential was being wasted on crappy parts. Luckilly he was a lousy singer with "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds", allowing, the lightening bolt of fame to strike twice, opening the door for his comedy side. No "Lucy In The Sky", and probably no "Big Giant Head" on Third Rock.
