Posted By RedRiverJ 1 year, 8 months ago in NewsMonths after reporters started asking Sen. So I guess the Clinton's never took any money from Rezko? Guess again. This is the typical tactic of the Clintons, point out the Contributions that their opponent while ignoring/covering up that they took money from the same people.

Check you facts and don't rely on someone to feed you the news. Obama was the attorney for the non profit organization. He appeared in court of this client not the other party. But i am sure it pails in comparison to the dealings of the clintons

You probably have a point there Debra. So many people in the media have built Obama up to be the savior of the world. He has said he will not support NAFTA, get jobs for all of us, secure the border, end world poverty. Between the promises he has made and how the Media has made him to be a rock star he just seems almost too perfect and too good to be true. Usually when something looks too good to be true, it isn't. There is no one person that can do all and be all to everyone, it is impossible.

I'm watching the news here in Chicago right now, and we all should have known this was going to happen, (although somehow it will still be claimed the Republicans are behind this) Clinton is on, using the Rezko issue to go after Obama, saying he has a lot to answer for about his involvement with Rezko, that he hasn't addressed yet. But the big thing here is, even though it is Hillary bringing all this up, how will it end up being blamed on conservatives, because we know the very far left will never admit it's one of their own, Clinton, being the first trying to use Rezko to go after Obama.

How true. On another thread, bubba2 is drinking the kool aid, claiming that "neocons" are responsible for the "stealth Muslim" whisper campaign against Obama.
But hey - his holiness St. Al Gore was the one who first used Willie Horton against Dukakis in the 1988 primaries, so the precedent has already been set.

I'm more interested in what Rezko got from Obama in return, if anything. Sleazy donors to politicians is no big deal in and of itself. Sleazy donors getting favors from bought politicians IS a big deal, though.
But it seems that as Obama solidifies his frontrunner status, the media scrutiny turns up a notch.

You have a little club going on named the Obama Bashing Club. Why don't you all republican supporters join Fox news and continue discussing ad nauseam the Rezko-Obama connection? I am from Chicago and the Chicago Tribune who broke this story many many months ago, cleared Obama and even endorsed him for the Democratic nomination. Please stop spreading misinformation.

The very first person I heard doing any bashing of Obama over this was Hillary, is she incluced in your 19%, or are you saying that they should just forget the trial because you like Obama and don't want to know if that Rezko/Obama real estate deal was above board? And I have to agree wtih ani, how could they have cleared anyone that might be involve when they hadn't even seated the jury yet, I beleive the jury was seated this afternoon, Wednesday, or will be seated tomorrow.
