March 5, 2008, 11:19 p.m.This action on the part of Iranian police is disgusting.
These women have rights that should be taken seriously and their right to peaceable protest should be assured and deemed important by the international community.
Please write to the Iranian judiciary and the President of Iran and demand their immediate release and that their activities of peaceable protest for women's rights should be protected.
Also, you might want to know that the "petition" website to demand their release has been taken down.
We all need to help these women.
