Christian Coalition Supports Guns-in-Churches Bill »
Posted by: Neophile 1 year, 9 months agoThe Georgia Christian Coalition has taken 2 intriguing positions on legislation making its way through the state Capitol. It supports a gun bill that allows you to carry concealed in churches. At the same time, it has declared neutrality on a measure to permit the Sunday sales of beer and such at a new stadium in Gwinnett County.

March 6, 2008, 11:22 a.m.we just had a massacre here in palm beach county Wendy's. if there had been a gun on the premises, innocent lives may not have been taken.
of course, owning a legal weapon is more than just a license. gun owners are encouraged to keep up target skills, gun laws, etc.
If I had the balls, I'd own a gun---for sure.
"responsible" gun ownership is a good thing.

March 6, 2008, 2:22 p.m.Eco... I have to disagree. I own three weapons. Non of them are sporting weapons. (Unless you consider human beings a sport). The last thing I'd want is a bad guy to think is that there is a gun on the premises. What a tempting theft that would be.
My exwife says she's getting a gun, just for me. How sweet. Her fifteen year old daughter talked about gutting someone like a fish. Those folks are crackers! (hee hee hee! I'm using the quaint British expression for crazy, but if you take it another way, that's cool). Alcohol, opiates or meth all make great compliments to responsible gun ownership. I've seen some sh!t that would all your little hairs stand up...
...and they're all qualified to own a gun.
Most family members are killed with 'family' weapons. Imagine a restaurant full of responsible, experienced shooters, like Dick Cheney, responding to an armed robbery.
LOL!!!

March 6, 2008, 2:41 p.m.By the way, Eco, these guns aren't registered. They have wonderful 'loophole' status. Two of them are rifles that are extremely acurate at long range, 57.7cal and 58cal. The pistol is a 44cal Navy Colt with no accuracy at more than 50 feet. Low muzzle velocity (1,200 feet/1 second). Well now, don't we feel safe? I don't. I don't keep them for safety. I keep them for there historical significance.Just don't make me mad...LOL!

March 6, 2008, 3:09 p.m.My collection isn't really about the fire arms. It's about the period. It also includes Complete acutrements as well as bayonets, and, you guessed it...cavalry sabre. Believe it or not, in most states in the U S, it's legal to sport these weapons walking down the street. Local civil ordinances vary, but even if it's perfectly legal to strut your sh!t, it would be foolish. Most cops don't know the law.
Now, go away and quit ******ing me off!
LOL!

March 6, 2008, 6 p.m.I don't see what George Bush has done wrong, he's destroying a bunch of people who shouldn't be in the 1st place. I say the Iraqis are just here to take up space on this planet. They're not doing anything to benifit us. George Bush is doing a great job where he is. I hope he sends a nuke to Iraq and just wipe that country out of the map. The only thing the Iraqis know how to do is terrorize countries, they're all terrorists.Ok, I'm going to say it, I think George Bush is good. He's one of the greatest president ever.. Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! he attack Iraq and many Iraqis died.. so what? I hope he bombs Iraq again, I seriously don't give a crap if the Iraqis die, I hope bush kills them all, bomb the hell out of Iraq. serioulsy

March 6, 2008, 9:36 p.m.ecotourusa You are FULL of ******. Since tighter gun laws were brought into Australia, our violent crime rates have gone down slightly. The reason we had increased gun control was because a total loonee went berko and killed about 32 tourists with guns using law he had manipulated. Criminals can still obtain weapons, it just takes more money every year. Guns in churches ?? it would be against every scripture I've ever read. It's a pity that oh why bother, the rest of the world knows that America is a sick place
