Sorry, BB. Spirituality has nothing to do with a supernatural being named "God." And there is no evidence that morals, standards, and scruples have anything to do with belief in a deity, either. In fact, most people in our jails and prisons were raised in religious families and believe in a supernatural deity (usually some Paulist variety of Christianity).
Ethnic studies of isolated people suggest some of the most peaceful and ethical people on earth have no religion as we understand that term.

In all that the author has written - This thing we can know, is that we are failing - not God. As with all of the guilty, the blame is on the one that makes us feel less than we want to. We don't want there to be "sins" that cause us to look bad, or commands that restrict our wants (a nice way to say LUSTS). We have so absorbed Satans nature that we are comfortable with the degeneration, we like to undermine belief in God. We rally to bolster our immorality thinking that numbers make us right. People have and are failing at understanding and obeying God. Formal religion is corrupt. God is who He is and is unchanging. We have been decieved to believe that we are "coming to a greater understanding" while supporting our outright rebellion against God and Jesus. Is the author of the article enlightened...I think not ! Just another decieved worker repackaging a mentality that lowers us further into the pit.

It's nice to know people are waking up and realizing that ancient body snatchers have been operating them.
I notice that Unitarian-Universalism is way up in Ireland and the Brights are growing everywhere. New Thought could be a nice step away from fundamentalism for many. The Church of Sc*entology is also a practical organization for people who really like a centrally-controlled, highly organized group. Lots of modern options exist for people who feel a need for fellowship and opportunities to serve others.
