Jimmy Carter was right to fire GWHB and all his "Cowboy buddies" from the CIA.
The real nuts are the ones lobbing these insults towards these outstanding Americans. Of course those who side with Big oil hate Carter for suggesting that the largest oil consumer nation cut back and conserve.....God Forbid. Where would they get their enormous profits from if we had followed Carters advice and gotten off foreign oil some 30 years ago.
Carter was right about the economy too. He was the one that appointed Volker not Raygun.
Luntz is a putz.

Bush left the CIA on Jan 20 1977. Jimmy Carter took office on Jan 21 1977.
How could Jimmy Carter FIRE someone who had already left the job?

Jimmy Carter never met a terrorist he did not love. Thank him for Iran and its overthrow. I voted for him and was very sorry. Remember 12-14% interest and runaway inflation? His act smelled an awful lot like Obama is selling now. First lady? Fighting a rabbit?

Just curious, but how was the interest rates Carter's fault?
Back then, the head of the federal reserve did not set the interest rates, the value of the dollar set the interest rates.
A weak dollar due to high oil prices caused high interest. What could Carter have done to stop this, since the high oil prices were caused by an oil embargo?
Runaway inflation, once again, look at the cost of energy.
Learn to think, it makes you look more secure, even if you really aren't.
