Why be bothered by McCain's physical appearance? What bothers me far more are his liberal ties and views.
I am also very bothered by his wife. She is chair of Hensley & Co., one of the largest Anheuser-Busch distributors in the nation.
Do we REALLY want a beer pusher for a first "lady"?
Sorry, but too many people are killed every day in this country because of beer and other alcoholic drinks. We don't need a first lady that makes her living off of that, which destroys lives and families.
And yes, I am totally against alcohol. I don't drink. And Jesus did not make alcoholic wine. And I do NOT hate drinkers --I pray for them to stop drinking. (More people I know and love, do drink, than not.) I look at this like cigarettes, the makers are more at fault. They cause others to stumble.

Jesus made the most Kickin Wine ever made if he took the time to make a single drop,,, and man what a party they must have had,,,,, oh yeah he made it without alcohol,,,, why would he do that? People drank all the time then and errrrr now,,,, not that I drink that much but to say Jesus made wine without the Kick is like saying God Put Dinosaur bone in the ground just so we'd have something to talk about! Yeah a preacher told me that, after he told me the Jesus wine was just grape juice.

Dearest Debra,
Well, if there was less religious people making life so miserable for everyone else, with their finger-pointing and general "tisk-tisking", people would probably feel a lot less stressed out and wouldn't feel the need to drink so much.
Think about it, if the church didn't making having hot, sweaty , balls-deep sex so taboo... then people could have done that more often, and probably drank less and smiled more.
But, because the church made all the fun types of sex taboo... people needed some way of blowing off steam. Typically this means either drinking a case of Bud, beating their wives, or a fun night of gay-bashing.
So, in closing -- I think the leading cause of alcoholism is tight-assed, ring-wing, religious folks.
Yours in sunshine,
Doctor Benway

I don't drink any alcoholic beverages, never did, never will. I am also a Methodist (pioneers in the temperance movement). Having said that, we must not distort the biblical witness according to our predisposed views, whether we like them or not, the Bible properly interpreted should mold our theology, not the other way around. Jesus did make wine, but it is not an endorsement of such. The Bible doesn't condemn drinking but it condemns intoxication (Eph 5:18). That gets some facts straight.
What should bother you about McCain is not his liberal views, but his conservative ones. 100 years of more killing in Iraq? More breaks to the rich and despising the poor? I am certain Jesus was not a pro rich, pro war conservative. If jesus were really running and see his views you might conclude he is too liberal.
