The Implications of the opening of Iran's Oil Bourse »
Posted By berkeley 1 year, 8 months ago in NewsThe trading of oil for the Euro instead of US dollars is an extremely important historical precedent set by Iraq that must be understood to fully grasp the implications of Iran's announcement in December of 2006 that they would "use Euro instead of US dollar in (their) next year's budget."

Excellent article that should be required viewing for every American who endorses the lunacy of the Bush Administration and the American imperialism that set the stage for it.
Bush invaded Iraq to grab the oil. Not just Iraqi oil, but to have a permanent military bas in the heart of OPEC from which to get "Our" oil. How's it working for us? Oil has gone from $26 a barrel to $104 under his watch.

sounds like it is going exactly according to plan for both Bush and OBL - funny how those two have goals that are always so aligned.
It is not for America that Bush wants control of the oil, it is for his crony companions and family that Bush wants control of the oil.
While the war drags on and on, the oil companies gouge us at the pumps and the Bush admin gives them hardship tax breaks. And 30% of Americans still lick the boots of the very thieves who are robbing them.
Their plan is proceeding nicely.

Well, after half a century factions in the ME are rising against us. And we're approaching the threat like naive' children. Maybe that's what we are. Until seven years ago, I knew very little about the world and our place in it. I hadn't even bothered to take the time to understand Iran/Contra fully. It's hard. Not that I'm making excuses for my self imposed ignorance, but because there are a myriad of perceptions to sort through, & then the task of coming to a critically analyzed conclusion. But on this issue the only conclusion I can reach is that our policy in the ME led us to 9/11. Doesn't have a thing to do with our 'enemies' hating our freedom. But it's a good enough explanation for a nation that's so naive'.

You are not helped by the fact that the mainstream media are mostly governmental propaganda. Have they told you that our military leaders are in open revolt against Bush's mideast policies?
An admiral takes on the White House
Politics â;; The willingness of the top commander in the Middle East to take the military option against Iran "off the table" was a reflection of the determination of uniformed military leaders to prevent what they regarded as a disastrous course by the Bush administration.

I can't believe the American people haven't gone completely apesh*t over all this crap.
Bush has truly screwed us over and we may never recover.
The American policy of war to get oil and try to keep the US dollar as the primary monetary measuring unit has backfired just like most of the Republican ploys.
We should have stuck with mfg.
Bunch of dumb jackas*es.

if the mainstream media repeated the details of this article over and over again, even high school students would be outraged. instead, as we know, they endlessly repeat distraction after distraction.
things that can't go on indefinitely don't. someday the present policies will end, either because the empire fell apart or because it won. woe to us in either case.
