I haven't hidden the fact that I've been a victim of ID theft before. I've also had the good fortune to be one of the employees whose past IBM employee data was lost. This story, however, is a wake-up call: you shouldn't casually trust any shareware or freeware program - or even service.

    Wow...this is more than an old programmer can take. I have been creating software for windows for 10 years and this guy is not in his right mind doing something like that.

    This guy should be in jail, as this is a criminal offense. Why don't people just stick to the things that creates more life for all. That is a good principle to follow.

    Thanks for pointing this out. There are lot's of people who really need to know about these things and start to think in a more critical way.

      You can NEVER be too cautious when it comes to your protecting your identity. The fact is one in five people in America will have their identity stolen in one form or another this year. It's the number one crime. As for unique passwords, use multiple upper and lower case with multiple numbers, and perhaps a colon, semi-colon or non letter character. It just makes sense
