The man should resign immediately. He has no credibility as Governor of NY State.

While it is not clear what Spitzer's involvement is in the ring, last week, federal prosecutors in Manhattan filed conspiracy charges against four people in connection with running a prostitution ring that charged wealthy clients in Europe and the United States thousands of dollars for prostitutes. The prostitutes were paid up to $5,500 an hour.
Maybe he's a pimp! lol

His wife did not look like a happy woman leaving the apartment this morning for the press conference. They have been together 21 years.
According to the NY Times: As attorney general, he also had prosecuted at least two prostitution rings as head of the state's organized crime task force.
In one such case in 2004, Mr. Spitzer spoke with revulsion and anger after announcing the arrest of 16 people for operating a high-end prostitution ring out of Staten Island.
"This was a sophisticated and lucrative operation with a multitiered management structure," Mr. Spitzer said at the time. "It was, however, nothing more than a prostitution ring."

Oh, yum! Party affiliation is irrelevant--what this is about is:
the hypocrisy of moral posturing;
the ridiculous criminalization of prostitution;
the sense of immunity often shared by high-placed men (and it's always men, isn't it?) from retribution for illegal acts;
willful ignorance of what their enemies might do;
and their inability to place rational constraints on their own libido.
Did I say yum?

March 10, 2008, 4:23 p.m.JOBS OUT THERE - A "stand-in" job available for a "grim but faithful little woman" type to stand By her man and look staunch but forgiveful for political reasons. Must have all American woman hairstyle, Jackie Kennedy type. Needs to hold hubby's arm to support him. Needs to portray that kind of wife that hubby could be forgiven for not wanting to have sex with, attractive but bland.
Remuneration - chagrin. embarrassment. shoes.

March 10, 2008, 4:37 p.m.I'm diggin' through my collection right now. I've got a copy of Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart doing "Willie The Pimp". If you can find it on YouTube, combine it with the story...makes nice background music.

March 10, 2008, 4:40 p.m.What? Politicians screwing the people - really?!? Is this any surprise, especially those aligned at once with the Clintons? Beware those who claim they are cleaning up the system - they are usually the worst & most cunning infractors.

March 10, 2008, 4:55 p.m.The only redeeming aspect of prostitution (if there even could be one) is that it is a tool to bust these immoral hypocritical fools who attempt to make fools of us. It seems the people who want & obtain power over others in business & politics many times lack the power to keep their pants on and zipped up. The list is much longer than the number of characters available in this blog...
