    I suppose one could map the location of the terminal moraines and compare that to the present location of the toe of the glacier.

    I suppose one could try to date the formation of the terminal moraine by the topography, included organic materials and geology of the immediately surrounding area.

    I guess you could do those things (or ask the really old guy who lives in the house on top of the hill and spends his days counting).
