March 17, 2008, 9:18 a.m.Schey, president of the Los Angeles-based Center for Human Rights and Constitutional Law, seems to just want to block any attempt to slow illegals coming into the US. Seems to be a group that needs looking at.

March 17, 2008, 10:36 a.m.You know two months ago I was stuck on a jury trial where an illegal alien killed a cop. How many more people have to die before the bumpkins in Washington build the damn wall. If the folks don't want a wall on the south side of their homes, then I would suggest we offer to build the wall on the north side of their property line. Not that I want to give Mexico more land, nor do I want to injure property owners but seriously, how much more does the rest of this nation have to pay in order to deal with illegal aliens? If we exported illegals, how many prison cells would be empty. How much more money would the schools have if we didn't have to feed, educate and house illegals. How many people would still be alive? I support people coming to this nation, we're a nation of immigrants, when people come here legally. When you bring a skill no one else has to this country, you improve our nation. But if you don't speak English and have no skills, you don't help our country. Go home!

"On Tuesday, the government offered $100 for six months of access to Tamez's one acre, a remaining piece of a Spanish land grant to her family in El Calaboz, according to her attorney, Peter Schey."
One acre of land, I think this person just wants to be an obstructive a$$. I say, just build the wall and talk about it later.

March 17, 2008, 1:57 p.m.Suppose you are a landowner along the Rio Grande and have a ranch with cattle which use the river for water. The government comes along and wants to separate your herd from its water. What happens to your cattle? What happens to your ranch? You can't sell it because it's now nearly worthless. It's not just about the little slice of land next to the river, it's about the whole ranch.
