U.S. health officials have identified a contaminant in batches of the blood thinner heparin associated with 19 deaths and are trying to determine how the chemical got into the drug.

My friend that I take to dialysis when she needs a ride, is in the hospital. She had to be resuscitated this morning. I don't know if this is the same heparin that is used at her clinic.
I will have to talk to her daughter.
