Iraq: Five Shameful Years without Shame »

Posted by: populist 1 year, 8 months ago

The Iraq fiasco may have started as a criminal act of a few, but it's continuing as a criminal replication of the many...ultimately resulting in total hardening of the nation's compassionate arteries, and a complete loss of conscience and national shame.

How can there be shame when it's so lucrative?

"Has Iraq turned out to be the overheating factor causing America's moral and financial meltdowns? It's looking more and more that way."

I would have to concur. When we said that this war was all about oil, 5 years ago, most of the country scoffed. But after repeated lies about the reasoning for war, oil has become the only answer to why our government's morals play second fiddle to greed.

Heres a thought for you all, in some way the US government allowed or perpetrated 9/11 on the American people, I would say they would have already had a meltdown to even contemplate such a thing.

I like the list of our "two dirty-dozen" which includes Colin Powell; probably few remember the whitewashing he did in Nam with the My Lai fiasco. He is thought of as a moderate good guy while the guy got all his promotions on brownie points, not merit.

So sad... just so sad... But I am running for President and will be able to turn things around. Unlike Obama or Hillary(whom i support both), I will withdraw ALL troops within 2 years. That way, we can start strengthing the economy quickly and effectively.

Here is the status on my campaign:

$PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT$ As of 3/21/08, ALPHAGNOSIS has OFFICIALLY become the Vice Executive Manager and has replaced bronxbomber! I fired bronxbomber as he was being a VERY bad Vice Executive Manager, and I felt ALPHAGNOSIS could just handle the job better! ranchhand was fired as of 3/20/08, because he was also following the footsteps of bronxbomber. STONERS is leading effectively, and ENGINEER is also doing fine. ~I am still looking for more, message me if you are interested~

I had to come on here, because I am watching a PBS show with an interviews of Phil Donahue and a documentary producer about a paralyzed Iraq war vet.

The paralyzed Iraq war vet met a paralyzed vietnam vet. During their meeting, the older vet asked the younger one how long he spent in hospital. The younger answered about 2 or 3 months. The older one was apalled, as he answered he spent a year in hospital for nearly an identical wound, and than he had good out-patient follow-up.

Our government and the right-wing media are screwing our soldiers in more ways than one. It`s disgusting, shameful, and embarrassing as an American.

                      Let me get this right!

Blood and guts all over the place in Iraq and the Dems blame us.... America.

Not the Base better known as (AL stupid Qata).

They Blame America, while not a word of the bombings, beheadings, and shootings of innocent Iraqie people is even considered to be the work the Base(better known as Al stupid Kita).

So it's the american soldier who is doing all the beheading?

Its the American soldier who's doing all the sucide bombings?

Oh that's why we lost so many guys!

Excuse me for saying this but the Dems straegy of blameing Bush for everything is based on that fact that they think ALL AMERICAN VOTERS ARE STUPID.

Please, when you Dems hold up that sign that says STOP THE WAR, Please have some indication on your worn out 1967 sign

                      who should stop......Like THE BASE

I salute all the soliders in Iraq as well.

Too bad that Goerge and Dick dont do the same.

They have fought against pay raises for soldiers while payin Halliburton workers hunderts of thousands of dollors a year in pay.

They have supported REpublican efferts to cut fundin for Head Trauma centers - exactly at a time when soliders is giettin head injuries.

I could go on and on - but you are obviously as hateful towards soldiers as GW and Rush Limbaugh - and ALL Republicans.

But I dont blame you GC. You have just been duped and simply are not sophisticated enough to realize it.

You are just a victim. Thats all. Nobody here holdin that against you. Neo-Cons victimize LOTSA folk.

Our soldiers are doing a FANTASTIC job in Iraq. Unfortuantely, it is a job that the Iraqis should be doing, NOT the U.S.Soldiers.

After FIVE-plus years, it is time to tell the Iraqis that the U.S.-sponsored gravy train is over.

After FIVE-plus years, it is time to tell the Iraqis that the U.S. will no longer fund their free-loading.

Afther FIVE-plus years, it is time to stop giving away our desperately needed funds to do what the Iraqis can and should be doing for themselves.

Bush etc. are hateful and that must make the poor terrorists the picked on people. We should get out and let Iraq go through what Viet Nam went through after the Libs forced us out of there. Millions killed and hundreds of thousands in camps. This from the bleeding heart liberals.

Politics will take a turn when the pseudo-propping of the economy proves idiotic and the economy goes to hell. Six months and these enforcers of the elite will become quieter than monks. Too bad that so many lesser-repubs don't see themselves for what they are, poor suckers being used by that one-half of one-percent at the top.

You libs are so full of yourselves. You wouldn't fund our troops during deployment. That alone is an act of treason. Then what will you do when our troops finally do come home? Spit on them like you did to our brave men and women during the Viet Nam war. You all make me sick.

Here's a quesiton for the conservatives, the few die hard Bush butt sniffers:

                                      Mission Accomplished?

Where's Bin Laden after 7 years?

I thought he said he'd find who was responsible. Bush failed miserably.

I'm not worried about the people in Iraq. It was already proven there is no tie between Al-Qaeda and Iraq. Of course Condeliar Rice tried to imply it, but then later was called on it.

Anyway, if we are worried about planes smashing into buildings then we need to have more oversight on our intelligence services to make sure they are doing their jobs. By this I mean reacting to credible threats and not illegally spying on Americans.

Oh, and it would help after 7 years if we found the person responsible- his name is Bin Laden.

Where's Bin Laden after 7 years? Why is the economy tanking? Could it have anything to do with the protracted war that is making millions for insiders?

You conservatives are so brave- kill 'em all right? You'd rather someone else do it while you cheer the injustice. Except we'd never see any of you in the fight. You think somehow support of injustice, a war for profit, makes you courageous.
