Helping students to help each other to learn should be a REWARDED activity not penalized. The remaining penalty should immediately be changed to a plus.
There are too many activities in which students fight against their fellow students in order to get a better grade. This activity of HELPING is the way to go.

I believe the old saying goes "No good deed goes unpunished." Situations like this are a big reason people don't try to do more good deeds like this student seemed to be doing. Without having seen the Facebook site for myself, I can't say for sure that no cheating was going on, but it definitely sounds like the school misinterpreted things.
