Fallon's Resignation and the Potential of War against Iran »
Posted by: populist 1 year, 9 months agoFallon's resignation represents a bittersweet moment. On the one hand it's an indication of the continued fading enthusiasm for the militant culture espoused by the neo-conservatives. On the other, it's an ominous sign of the Bush administration's probable intentions during the last year of the president's term.

March 26, 2008, 12:06 p.m.Of course there will be war with Iran, right after the next 9/11 event, which we will be told was executed by Iranian extremists. They're going to put mccain in the white house for just that reason. He will continue with the agenda of continous total war and occupation. He's already stated that he supports this. I can only hope that I'm wrong.

March 26, 2008, 4:15 p.m.Bush and Cheney must be jumping up and down for joy!! Now they have less impediments to going into Iran so they kill more Americans and Bankrupt the country further and lose more respect from the rest of the world. Halliburton, Blackwater , etc., and the oil companies are all going to celebrate

March 26, 2008, 8:31 p.m.There will be no war with Iran. USA is now a wounded and dysfunctional tiger hated by all muslim countries including IRAQ.
Pakistan just kicked USA out telling the US diplomats "you ugly Americans are not welcome with the new government in place. There is a new sheriff in town. The days of one man dictatorship and show is over".

March 26, 2008, 9:58 p.m.Quote:
"Never knew we where in Pakistan. Muslims put Musharrif in power not the US you racist". Yea right. Who gave him the bulletproof cadilliac, $11 million cash and licked his A$$ as a partner?
The US diplomats went to suck up to the new PM and leaders. They were there to get the support of the new PM and government. Got kicked in their fking-ass-from-behind. Americans diplomats under orders from Bush getting kicked by a muslim! Must be painful!

March 27, 2008, 10:57 a.m.When I heard of Fallon´s resignment on the radio, it was already clear to me, that this decision was none of free choice. In times of war, there might be no closer relation as between the government and its military leaders. Fallon did no longer show this blind obediance and so, he wasn´t trustworthy anymore. Whatever will be America´s future behavior concerning Iran, another war would be more than disastrous. Maybe that Fallon didnt want to be in this number, but without any critical brain in the military leadership, things could get even worse!

March 27, 2008, 3:49 p.m.If we attack Iran it will be an utter disaster. Even with out the rising escalation of the war in both countries we don't have enough military to invade another country. We could drop some bombs, and then what?
