funny, as I read this I was hearing this-
In media news, new questions are being raised over the relationship between the Pentagon and bloggers. Wired.com has uncovered a 2006 study written for the US Special Operations Command that suggests the military should clandestinely recruit or hire prominent bloggers. The report stated, "Hiring a block of bloggers to verbally attack a specific person or promote a specific message may be worth considering." The report also suggested the Pentagon hack blogs that promote messages that are antithetical to US interests. The report went on to say, "Hacking the site and subtly changing the messages and dataâ;;merely a few words or phrasesâ;;may be sufficient to begin destroying the blogger's credibility with the audience."-Democracy Now

I've been saying for a long time that Obama would be a much more difficult candidate then Clinton. I've also said that the Republican's would rather run against Clinton then Obama. Clearly I'm not the only one.
Fortunately, it's not going to matter. Obama is going to win the nomination and he's going to win the Presidency because, there are MANY more new voters that are looking at the unity that Obama can bring to this country then there are OLD, BIGOTS that think that a Black man can't be President.

It has nothing to do with "bigots" or "racists" being old or anything like that it should come to Experience and Obama has none he has only been in office for 3 years and 2 of that has been running for president . What has he done to show that he can run the country ???? he has missed most of the votes in his home state so you cant even say he has a good voting record. he speaks well ill give him that but he says nothing. Exp: i have a vision of hope for this country, but in order to have hope we need to dream , and when we dream we need to dream of hope, but with the hope and dreams you have you have to have faith. lol i did a good job of doing an obama speech. I CAN RUN FOR PRESIDENT with speeches like that

Maybe you should talk to the Wright wing of the Democrat party, Willie and Hillie Clinton about being old bigots.

Do you really think, that the Bush administration is going to let the seat of the presidency go to Obama, guess again. Obama is gambling and he's gambling for Bush. Otherwise all those republicans that are giving him support wouldn't be wasting their money. Those rich fat cats see Hillary as a neutralizer, they may end up paying money into America to keep their harmful outsourcing going and they can't reduce the population growth that way.

I see Hillery as a tougher candidate..I believe people are more apt to elect a female for the first time than a black..many repub women will switch for Hillery, but not for a balck man.. Sorry--No rednecks will vote for Obama, but will vote for Hillery..
Obama--Mccain--Mccain wins
Hillery--Mccain--Hillery wins

Actually, quite the opposite:
It's a long way 'til November.
As of now, the only way Hillary Clinton can win the Democratic nomination is if the superdelegates push her over the top. That is not going to happen (But I know this is a wet dream for you righties, since the resulting chasm in the Democratic Party would hand the Republicans a victory...all with only lukewarm support for your candidate, John McCain. How brilliant! Huh?).
No, the more likely outcome will be that Barack Obama will emerge as the Democratic nominee. His acceptance speech will breath new energy into the Democratic Party and will make his 2004 keynote address seem like just a warm up. In the end, the Democrats will be unified.
And if you think that old fossil McCain stands a chance against a young, vetted Obama...think again!

I think your assessment of 'tougher' is an emotional one. There seems to be a misconception that being 'mild mannered' is a flaw. John Kennedy was 'mild mannered' and he was no pushover. Swaggering, knee jerk, talking 'tough'....it means nothing if the consequences are devastating. bush is those things, and see where we are?

McCain can't win over either one.
The real question is how much of a majority will the democrats get in Congress.

Obama is the worst candidate the Dems could put up. The blacks gave him the deep south over Hillary as the are 50% of the Democrat vote however they aren't even 25% of the total vote in those states and anyone who thinks Obama will win Ala., Miss., Georgia., Louisiana, SC., probably thinks the reverend Wright is a great American.
The Caucus states where he won in the Middle West over Clinton because fanatical leftleaning Movepn.Org, Daily Kos cooks comprise only 5% of the populace. Do any of you socialists think he'll win Utah or Idaho where the Dem haven't won in a half century.
McCain by a mile in the general.Sorry Dems it was your election but you managed to pick the only candidate that could lose with all you had going for you.

You know what, Everything the republicans and rich Dems were backing Obama on has worked so far. They knew the Race thing would become an issue. They intended that to be. The rich know that Hillary may neutralize them.

To be honest I do not believe the focus is going to be on the President as much as it is going to be on the VP. I believe Obama will have to win though for the democrats to have a chance. To many hate Hillary on both sides and a nom. for the Clintons would split and maybe even ruin the demo. party for a long time.
The biggest problem most see is the economy. I believe the smartest move for McCain would be a ticket with MIT that would bring a business man into the race again. It would also have impact on Obamas decission for VP. I think a Obama / Billary ticket in any form is out of the question.
I do agree Obamas ties to the racial right will be a problem. It will be interesting how he deals with this in the main race.

Do you suppose that corrupt mainstream media can really sell the American people on the idea that John McCain is a serious candidate for president and that America should continue the zioncon follies that have been such a disaster?
Bush and McCain's shared foreign policy approach
Do No Evil â;; McCain is a pure neoconservative in exactly the way that Bush and Cheney are, which is exactly why David Brooks, and like-minded ideologues like Bill Kristol, swoon over McCain's foreign policy "principles." The American Emperor issues moronic dictates to the world's primitive peoples, and they obey.

Readiness for endless war
Politics â;; The American political class has drawn all the wrong conclusions from the end of the Cold War and the breakup of the Soviet Union. Permanent global hegemony just did not happen. Frustration and craving for revenge have become main drivers of US policies. September 11 focused their common dysfunctionality, but they are not its root cause.

A Third American War Crime in the Making
Do No Evil â;; The US Congress, the US media, the American people, and the United Nations, are looking the other way as Cheney prepares his attack on Iran. Like Hitler's planned attack against Poland, Cheney's attack on Iran has long been in the works.

It is certainly clear that real American conservatives (as opposed to the bushie/zioncon pseudo-conservatives) regard Obama as the better choice.
March 24, 2008 Issue
The American Conservative
The Right Choice?
The conservative case for Barack Obama
Barack Obama is no conservative. Yet if he wins the Democratic nomination, come November principled conservatives may well find themselves voting for the senator from Illinois...
..the Republican Party does not represent conservative principles. The conservative ascendancy that began with the election of Ronald Reagan has been largely an illusion. During the period since 1980, certain faux conservativesâ;;especially those in the service of Big Business and Big Empireâ;;have prospered. But conservatism as such has not...

The presidency of George W. Bush illustrates the point... Whatever else may be said about this record of achievement, it does not accord with conservative principles... Finally, there is President Bush's misguided approach to foreign policy,...
..For conservatives to hope the election of yet another Republican will set things right is surely in vain. To believe that President John McCain will reduce the scope and intrusiveness of federal authority, cut the imperial presidency down to size, and put the government on a pay-as-you-go basis is to succumb to a great delusion. The Republican establishment may maintain the pretense of opposing Big Government, but pretense it is...
..Social conservatives counting on McCain to return the nation to the path of righteousness are kidding themselves...
..Above all, conservatives who think that a McCain presidency would restore a sense of realism and prudence to U.S. foreign policy are setting themselves up for disappointment.

The facts are that Obama voted against a bill that would prevent poking a hole in the heads of babies that are up to 9 months along to murder them just for the sake of making it go away. He supports murdering babies. He also said today that he wouldn't want to punish his daughter with a baby just for making a mistake. I think the biggest mistake would be electing this person as our President. If you vote for him then you are enabeling this supporter of baby killing.

Actually, the 'real' facts are that the bill didn't put the life of the mother before the life of the fetus. THAT's why democrats voted against it. And for your edification, the SC....the CONSERVATIVE court....agreed that the bill was flawed & threw it out. But don't let the facts get in the way of you spewing your misinformation. I realize that's what CONS value most...misinformation.

that 5% are the people without jobs who are currently receiving unemployment benefits. its not a true measure of how many unemployed people there are in the US.

No it doesn't. It means that 5% are collecting benefits. It DOESN'T count the people whose benefits have run out, it DOESN'T count the people who were making $25/hour who can now only get a job making $10/hr. It DOESN'T count the people who were forced into early retirement because of downsizing and it DOESN'T count people who are on disability, but the disability benefits are less then HALF what they made while they were able to work.

I have to say that stating facts on the election has gotten me many of neg. ratings even if the statements were not in favor of one party or another. That only shows me that there are still enough ingnorant people out there who will vote for a cnidate regardless of what they do or will do to the US. You can thank these people we America is bankrupt.

The problem is that Obama's "unity" rhetoric doesn't line up with his own writings or with the company he keeps. He talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk. He's like the minister who preaches purity while he's cheating on his wife.
Typical resort to racism as the defense against people calling Obama on his flaws.

John McCain has shown as of late that he doesn't understand the difference between Sunni and Shia or whether Al_Quida has a base in Iran (it doesn't). And please don't get me started on how important it is to elect a Democrat for the sake of (at least) the next two seats on the U.S. Supreme Court (and that outweighs even the war, IMO).
And I've been watching Hillary Clinton since the 1980s (she was the First Lady of my state). And now the rest of the country is now waking up to what many of us in Arkansas already know: that she will say anything and do anything she deems to be politically expedient (and as we learned from the Bosnia story), even lie!
So even if I didn't like Barack Obama (and I do), I would have absolutely no problem casting my vote for him as the best candidate for president.

Obama has no moral compass and refers to children as punishment, he shares the views of his pastor and his wife hates americans. McCain will swift boat him in a heart beat and this country will come together to prevent Hillary a liar and communist and Obama an anti american with no experiance in world affairs from leading this great country.

I can't wait for the Dumbocratic convention. I cheered for the police in 1968 and am looking forward to cheering for them again. History has a funny way of repeating itself and if we are all patient the 'party of the people' will do everything in its power to self-destruct. After they exhibit their lack of ability to compromise and govern would any intelligent American be inclined to vote for BO? And just what the hell do they mean by 'change' anyway? They're turning it into a four letter word like they did with 'choice'.
Semper fi, and support the troops. You know damned well BO won't.
