A new poll finds a majority of Republicans and Democrats feel Sen. Barack Obama would be a tougher candidate against the presumptive Republican nominee John McCain in a potential fall match-up.

Do you really think, that the Bush administration is going to let the seat of the presidency go to Obama, guess again. Obama is gambling and he's gambling for Bush. Otherwise all those republicans that are giving him support wouldn't be wasting their money. Those rich fat cats see Hillary as a neutralizer, they may end up paying money into America to keep their harmful outsourcing going and they can't reduce the population growth that way.

To be honest I do not believe the focus is going to be on the President as much as it is going to be on the VP. I believe Obama will have to win though for the democrats to have a chance. To many hate Hillary on both sides and a nom. for the Clintons would split and maybe even ruin the demo. party for a long time.
The biggest problem most see is the economy. I believe the smartest move for McCain would be a ticket with MIT that would bring a business man into the race again. It would also have impact on Obamas decission for VP. I think a Obama / Billary ticket in any form is out of the question.
I do agree Obamas ties to the racial right will be a problem. It will be interesting how he deals with this in the main race.

It is certainly clear that real American conservatives (as opposed to the bushie/zioncon pseudo-conservatives) regard Obama as the better choice.

The facts are that Obama voted against a bill that would prevent poking a hole in the heads of babies that are up to 9 months along to murder them just for the sake of making it go away. He supports murdering babies. He also said today that he wouldn't want to punish his daughter with a baby just for making a mistake. I think the biggest mistake would be electing this person as our President. If you vote for him then you are enabeling this supporter of baby killing.

I have to say that stating facts on the election has gotten me many of neg. ratings even if the statements were not in favor of one party or another. That only shows me that there are still enough ingnorant people out there who will vote for a cnidate regardless of what they do or will do to the US. You can thank these people we America is bankrupt.

John McCain has shown as of late that he doesn't understand the difference between Sunni and Shia or whether Al_Quida has a base in Iran (it doesn't). And please don't get me started on how important it is to elect a Democrat for the sake of (at least) the next two seats on the U.S. Supreme Court (and that outweighs even the war, IMO).
And I've been watching Hillary Clinton since the 1980s (she was the First Lady of my state). And now the rest of the country is now waking up to what many of us in Arkansas already know: that she will say anything and do anything she deems to be politically expedient (and as we learned from the Bosnia story), even lie!
So even if I didn't like Barack Obama (and I do), I would have absolutely no problem casting my vote for him as the best candidate for president.

Obama has no moral compass and refers to children as punishment, he shares the views of his pastor and his wife hates americans. McCain will swift boat him in a heart beat and this country will come together to prevent Hillary a liar and communist and Obama an anti american with no experiance in world affairs from leading this great country.

I can't wait for the Dumbocratic convention. I cheered for the police in 1968 and am looking forward to cheering for them again. History has a funny way of repeating itself and if we are all patient the 'party of the people' will do everything in its power to self-destruct. After they exhibit their lack of ability to compromise and govern would any intelligent American be inclined to vote for BO? And just what the hell do they mean by 'change' anyway? They're turning it into a four letter word like they did with 'choice'.
