I can care less if they need them to fight, the women there are fighting and being killed too, your comments are out of line...I think midleft got it correctly. We may not want to admit this but it is what it is, they are scumbags and not prosecuting them is the same as saying it's ok to rape these ladies. To hell with those who think this is correct or justifies it in anyway...let's see how they would feel if it was their sister, Mother or wife. We should send the Bush Girls there and see how fast this would become a bleeping crime.

    They don't need these guys! If this is the best that we can do then we should not fight!They should be in Jail and the leaders in the Military should be in jail! This goes against everything that is American rules and laws they are American workers an should be held to the same standards as any of our citizens!

        Perfectly true and what I've been trying to say this whole time. Its not a majority and its not most or all, but it is some. To me that some is "large portions" because its unthinkable that anyone with a record like that can join the military.

        Reduced from what? Most of our Recruits are High School grads or GED equivalent, it's not like we have been getting the best college grads singing up. I hear this all the time, the same is said about the NYPD (the standards have been lowered and all that means is that minorities are now joining) Nothing has change...I don't get your point! I am willing to bet you that what you are saying has very little to do with the escalation of rape as much as turning a blind eye does, and new access that has been granted to the media! Being a felon doesn't make you a rapist, it doesn't even make you more likely to be a rapist. Rape is a power thing, it is most often committed by the lease likely of suspects, this is more about putting these ladies in their so call places, This I am sure we will find had been going on longer than we are now being told.

        Well it looks like we have been on the same page all along. However I am not for giving reasons why the military has allowed rape to go unpunished...see my thinking if these not so up to standard fighters can take orders to risk their lives, they can be made to keep their hands off these ladies. It's not unconceivable that the higher ups are in a sad way rewarding these men at the expense of these ladies.
