He may very well have died in the jump. But there are just enough things that indicate that may may not have that will keep the legend living on. He may well be sharing an apartment with Elvis and Jimmy Hoffa.

I kind of like the Far Side cartoon entitled "What Really Happened to DB Cooper." It shows him parachuting into Ben and Vera's Rottweiler Farm.

I agree with chevydog, Cooper never spent any of the $200,000 that he had stolen. It never turned up at all in circulation. I personally think that he died somewhere in his famous jump into obscurity.

I wished I knew who Cooper really was, but that would take the fun out of a delving mystery.

Btw, "D.B. Cooper" was a misnomer by a reporter, the hijacker actually signed on as "Dan Cooper" not "D.B. Cooper"

        D. B. Cooper lives! He somehow laundered the cash and is somewhere laughing his ass off enjoying his loot.

        But we'll never know where.

forget about DB being overlooked - Propeller seems to becoming overlooked.

Trying to read it or post comments have become a slower & slower process.

Mostly it's the same posters saying the same old same old to each other over & over again. I think new people are being turned off by the extraordinary wait to do anything on this site.

        WAKE UP PROPELLER!!!!

So DB Cooper is a REAL myth/legend? They had him(well, the concept of him) in the TV show Prison Break...The main character was going to escape from prison(obviously) and DB Cooper was in the same prison - the main character wanted the money to keep going after the escape...

So the DB Cooper character was based on a actual urban legend/event. How fun!
