I am amazed that the Olympic Games were ever awarded to China in the first place; a country with an oppressive communist government hosting an event that in a real sense celebrates freedom of spirit, something China absolutely does not allow.

World leaders are too busy sucking up to China for trade, at the expense of their own people and show no backbone whatsoever in standing up to China's communist oppression. What China is doing to Tibet now is criminal, as well as what they do to their own people, such as blocking internet access to the rest of the (free) world, for example.

How Western countries can possibly support China, through trade or in any other form is totally beyond me. While our politicians bow and scrape before Communist China, the people have the chance to voice their opinion to the world during the Olympic Torch procession. Each and every protester should be credited for having the guts to do what is right.
