Except for the fact that liberals are the ones who vote with their feelings as opposed to using rational thought. Just watch any debate if you want to see evidence of this. After a conervative debate the panel will tell you why they think ____ would make a good president. However, you turn the channel and watch a democrat debate and you see these morons saying things like "I feel like BO was talking only to me, that's why I like him".
This article is trash and nothing more. I am also not surprised that you haters liked it.

ROFLMAO, Tangy you don't even realize when you post things that continue to support what everyone already knows about the righties. They need to be told who is a good candidate because they can't figure it out for themselves.

Dunny, notice that I said conservatives *think* before deciding which way to vote. Unlike the libs at the debates who feel that candidates are speaking directly to them and even though they cannot name one thing that person has done or will do, they will still support them because of their feelings.

Ummm Tangy read the part that was highlighted. ROFLMAO, the thinking seems to be already done for them since they need to be told WHO would make a good president, definetly seems like they cant figure it out for themselves and electing Dumya twice sure does offer proof in that area.

I really don't think you are following me here dunny. I never once said anything about anyone telling us who to vote for. I was using the example of the groups of voters that networks use to determine how the debate is going as it is happening. For some stupid reason you took that as me saying that we need to be told who to vote for but did not make the same conclusion about the dems who I mentioned do the same thing.

"liberals are the ones who vote with their feelings as opposed to using rational thought."
Actually, you couldn't be more wrong. In general, it is Republicans who tend to emotionalize elections and Democrats who tend to intellectualize them.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/columnist/...
"Therein lies a fundamental difference between Democrats, who tend to intellectualize elections, and Republicans, who like to emotionalize them."
In fact, Republicans often choose their candidate, not based on issues, but on who they'd rather have a beer with. That's how Bush won in 2000 and 2004.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/columnist/...
"A Zogby Poll found that 57% would rather have a beer with Bush, despite his many problems, than with Kerry."

"Not true. I wouldn't care to drink with McCain. In any case, the purpose of that question wasn't to determine for whom you would vote. It was a trivial question."
Do you have actual evidence to support your rebuttal, or am I supposed to accept your argument simply because you said so?

"You made the assertion. You prove it."
You mean aside from the two sources I already cited? LOL. Where is your evidence? Oh, that's right. I forgot. It's your MO not to provide any.
This very exchange only further supports my argument. My post was accompanied by two pieces of supporting evidence (Democrats tend to intellectualize), and yours was accompanied by nothing (Republicans tend to emotionalize).
LOL.
By the way, you might want to check your facts. I didn't initially make this assertion; I was merely refuting the assertion TANGLANG initially made.
Pathetic.

"YOU calling an opinion piece a "source" to back up your claim!"
A poll conducted by Zogby -- one of the most respected polling companies in the world -- can hardly be dismissed as an "opinion piece." It's laughable you would attack my sources, particularly one as credible as Zogby, without presenting ANY evidence of your own.
LOL. How typically neocon of you.
PATHETIC.

"In any case, no one takes a beer poll seriously, even the pollster."
Actually, it was a "likability" poll, not a "beer poll." The beer question was just one of the several questions posed by this poll.
Still no evidence of your own to present? LOL
How expected. "You'll have to do better than that." LOL.

Ohhhhh you can read!
You're making progress.
Now try reading for meaning!
HERE'S THE MEANING:
YOU SEE McCAIN IS ELDERLY (that means over 65 years old)
THE ELDERLY CANNOT DRINK MUCH BECAUSE THEY TIRE EASILY
(no, that doesn't mean turn into rubber, it means get tired)
SO IT WAS A JOKE..
Sorry if one missed vowel throws all those with A-D-D off,
but that must be why you love Bush so much. He's your poster child for not being able to follow a conversation.
Got it now??
A joke??
Lost your sense of humor..
Sorry we can't help you!

What I find very funny is that you once again post somebody elses opinion to try and prove your point. Probably because you cannot think for yourself.
((("A Zogby Poll found that 57% would rather have a beer with Bush, despite his many problems, than with Kerry.")))
Well no sht sherlock! Kerry is a douchebag. At least W speaks his mind. I bet he's a cool guy when you get to know him. Kerry is just political arm candy for his wife.
As for the poll itself, it in no way proves anything. All it says is that more people think Bush would be more fun to drink with than Mr Potato head.

It's laughable that you're too obtuse to realize how this very post only further proves my argument. My post was dispassionate and void of ad hominems. Instead, I simply refuted your original assertion that liberals are emotional, irrational creatures. I even provided two different pieces of documentation as counter-evidence. I was, in effect, intellectualizing the debate with dispassionate discourse and documented data.
And what do you respond with? No counter-evidence of your own. No dispassionate discourse. All you have to offer is a post filled with ad hominems. By stooping to this level, you have emotionalized the debate and have only further proved argument --
Democrats tend to intellectualize; Republicans, emotionalize. Time for you to go back to school.
Class dismissed.
Pathetic.

What are you new? The links you posted were crap. There was nothing to refute. Just someone elses opinion. That's why I laughed them off.

Well which is it? Time for me to go to school, or is class dismissed?

Actually, you laughed them off because you knew you had ZERO counter-evidence to present. Only an undereducated fool, like yourself, would so easily dismiss a poll by an internationally-recognized polling firm like Zogby International as "crap."
LOL. Then again, facts were never your forte. It's laughable that even in the face of documented evidence you lack the intellectual capacity to muster ANYTHING that resembles a coherent, data-supported response.
TANGLANG:

One class does not a graduate make.
LOL. It seems like all those drugs you did in your youth must have done some permanent damage.
Pathetic.

I wish I could see your face as you read this, but I only voted for Bush once. In 2004! Back in 2000 I voted for the guy who LOST! Otherwise known as Al Gore. It was not until shortly after the election and my 21st birthday that I sobered up and decided to become a productive member of society as opposed to the pothead liberal dropout that I had been for so long.

Hey guys. I hate to break the news but you are not running against Bush. You are running against a war hero.
What you got? Obama ever do service? Hillary spend time in the military?
But hey keep Wright to the front. Make sure he is not forgotten.
McCain will love it. So will I.
G D AmeriKKKa. Great campaign slogan!

It's amazing how one's eyesight can improve when being shot at.
But in the Hilldabeast's case it was all a fantasy story. It did sound good but then it wasn't true.
Maybe instead of playing fantasy football online she plays fantasy GI in her mind.
Hummmm.....I wonder if Bill knows about this; sounds sorta kinky in a psycho-subversive way.

OK. We'll keep a war hero, a preacher, and a man who's fought discrimination, poverty & social injustice for decades.
He may not have been politically correct or expedient, but many - Dems, Reps & Independents - have condemned America for many of its activities or lack thereof.
What's worse:
- Condemning the US for its past & ongoing racism, support of despots, & overthrowing of democratic governments around the world & over the years, or
- Basically condoning terrorist attacks & natural disasters on the US, costing thousands of lives, because of the US's "secularism"; calling over 50% of the electorate traitors, unpatriotic & aiding & abetting terrorists because we disagree w/this administration; etc?
McCain: I'll cave on torture because Rove told me to.

I am a productive member of society and I finished school and have my own business. Maybe you were a pothead because well you just were. I hope you don't think libs are the only ones that drop out, thy the VP and rove he went to five different colleges and still haven't gotten a degree. I digress, my point was that you are in no position to make your previous comments if you voted for bush the second time around. it was a bone headed thing to do!

This from a group who voted for W because they FELT they could have a beer with him.
And from a group that tried to tell us all that W actually won debates he had w/Gore OR Kerry.
Right. We believe you.
But, for some reason, I FEEL like you're wrong.

Because you dismiss everything he says simply because he's Al Gore.
In the 2k debates, he had facts at his fingertips. All W had was his easy-going, non-committal responses to everything. And the spinners would have us all believe W won.

I guess that's on par w/the FACTS as George W Bush knows them. For a list of those "Facts," look over the last 7 years for the misrepresentations, self-contradictions, twistings of truth, outright lies & just plain illiterate, ignorant rantings.

Well smart guy, if you read the comments posted you will notice how hate filled they are. Which is the norm for this group. And also why we know them as haters.
It has nothing to do with feelings. Rather it's the ability to reason.

You have just stated that the norm for this group is hate.
The only thing they should hate is your stupidity, but time after time they tolerate it, even though you keep coming back for more.
Your ability to reason has been gone, and pretending to be a conservative doesn't negate the PERMANENT damage that pot does to your brain.. Thanks for the explanation.
You further go on to say as "WE know them as haters" and you still don't realize that you are in a very small minority here.
WE can't play into you delusions, so just positive and negatives and THAT will tell you who the "WE" is here and who really "hates" the youth of our country so much that you still support sending them off to their early deaths and destroying their families. THAT is beyond hate, it is blind contempt... You just don't get it..Braincells gone!
NO ability to reason. Grow up, grow a conscience.
Live in the real world for a few years.

Ahhhh, no.
We don't send them there because we hate them, we send them there with no plan or appropriate armor or decent hospitals
to return to because we "hate" meeting our responsibilities or being held accountable for our deficiencies and THEY pay for it... Better?
We don;t hate them, we just don't respect them enough to tell them the truth or fully honor our commitment to decent treatment... Waving a flag and singing anthems at them was what destroyed Rome..
We've already gone through 9 Generals, 4 Admirals, a Bremer
and 2 Secretaries of Defense and they're still getting blown up and have no idea what "winning is"..THAT is disrespectful
and the worst thing we can ever do to our troops.
