FTA:
After reiterating his regret for his choice of words, Obama turned the tables on Clinton â;; mocking, among other things, her sudden fealty to the rights of gun owners.
"She is running around talking about how this is an insult to sportsman, how she values the second amendment. She's talking like she's Annie Oakley," Obama said, invoking the famed female sharpshooter immortalized in the musical "Anne Get Your Gun."
LMAO! Good for Obama. Hillary has twisted everything he has said, ever since she found out he was an actual threat to what she thought was her entitlement.

Your posting a link to Obama's "Damage Control" video.
A staged event to try and control the message.
The ORIGINAL taped remarks (not video) were not meant for public consumption.
Huffington Post has the audio.
Obama is explaining to his campaign workers in San Francisco that the people they will be dealing with in PA are "bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
Now if Obam's had said this at a town meeting in PA (not San Francisco) face to face with the lunch pale working class, gun toting, racist bible thumpers.
He would still be in a heap of trouble but at lest some could respect that he made his case face to face.
Disrespecting people behind their back will not win real friends.

And the damage control that this is ONLY about the word "bitter" aint working, no one buying that.
And yes, he is going to have this beat about his head from now till the general election (IF he actually makes it that far.)
Perhaps he should sign up for some "sensitivity training"

That's funny, I know a lot of voters both Democrat and Republican who ARE bitter about our political system and how it doesn't serve the common people. I'd say Obama was right on the money.
Are all the folks you know that are "BITTER" clinging to god, guns and are racist?
Or are only the ones that live in small towns clinging to god, guns and are racist?
Bitter does not negate clinging to god, guns and are racist comment.
BTW if any of the "BITTER" folks you know are not clinging to Guns God and are now racist, does that not prove Obama and your self are wrong?
Are you real qualified to psychoanalyze millions of people you have never met?
Is Obama? Don't ya think it a little elitist to think you can?

injest these people are! I worked for a shipping company and I had to visit PA, living in NY I drove, I happen to have a BMW at the time, this became a point of contention I was even warned by some of the people in the meeting to park it and get a rental for the time I was there because people are ******ed that I have a BMW. What he is saying is true. The poster of this story and the rest of you want to say he is a raciest for stating a fact.

Imjest - Do you think what he said is incorrect. About the American people and Clinton? I don't think he was. We vote for the wrong reasons, I have people from small town USA and they do think the way he said they do. And if we all want to be honest he is CORRECT!

1. Obama was not talking about ALL Americans, his statement was directly focused on Americans who live in small towns.
Until Obama "mans up" and deals honestly with his insults to all Americans that live in small towns calling them Gun toting, Bible thumping, Racist for WHATEVER reason he is going to lose.

Do you understand the background on this story?
He was instructing HIS campaign workers in San Francisco what they will be faced with and who the people are in SMALL TOWNS, how they think what they believe.
But what is most important to really understand this story is that it was NEVER INTENDED TO BE BROADCAST.
You, I and the rest of the world were NEVER INTENDED to here this.
Kinda like being a fly on the wall in some management meeting as they decide how to bamboozle their stupid customers.

You are foolish. The people from small towns have been religious, had guns, have been angry about illegal aliens and haven't liked the trade issues for a very long time, some of the items all their lives. It is a very deep insult to those people to say they cling to those things because they are bitter. If you think that then you are very foolish. Why do you think he lost 20 points in PA?

They ALL twist each others words. Unfortunatly it is part of running for office. And they ALL throw each other under the bus when a questionable comment gets said.
The reality is that if Clinton had said the whole comment about people being "Bitter" that he would do the same thing that she is right now and the same for Mccain. Obama and Clinton would have latched onto it had Mccain said it.
Let's not act like one is better than the other in this respect because they all twist words to suit them.

A six-shooter? WTF is he talking about? Does he think people hunt ducks with a six-shooter hand gun? Or does he think a Streetsweeper (which is outlawed in the USA) is used to hunt ducks?

Hillary behind a duck blind; frightening thought.
OBama talking about Hillary being like Annie Oakley; double frightening.
Those two and their penchant for making snide remarks and elitist digressions about middle class America and each other are going to destroy the Democratic party to the point it will be hard to resurrect it.... if at all.
Sometimes I wish that they would just shut up and go to their rooms for a well deserved time out.

It's truly a shame that Hillary is as guilty as the repubs with her spinning and twisting Obama's words, because she knows he is trying to run an honest campaign.
He hasn't been able to deal with the issues during this campaign, he has been too busy defending his race, religion, and statements taken out of context.
I understand that they have to do what they feel is RIGHT to win the nomination, but Hillary doesn't have to destroy the Democrat party doing it. By the time she is done, many democrats won't even bother to vote if she is the nominee, simply because of her underhanded, republican style, political strategy.

Granted she is in more attack mode than Obama, but please be real here. He does twist words and he does make misstatments about things he has done just like Clinton.
I watched a news program that went through a speech by each of them and pointed out all the incorrect information they gave about themselves and BOTH were guilty whether by accident or intentionally trying to make themselves look better.
Simple fact is that all politicians are sneaky and will do what they have to, to win.

I can say I have the sun, and you can call me crazy because who can have the sun? my meaning is I have the sun in my life or in my open hands but you can also point out that I am crazy because I think the sun is mine or that i think i can hold the sun.

As usual, you're talking out of school again. This sort of campaigning goes all the way back to the first Republican, Abraham Lincoln. But it was around since the end of the Washington administration. It it hardly new and was invented before there was a Democratic or Republican party. It was repugnant then, and it still is today.

That's exactly what I am talking about. And Lincoln himself, great orator that he was, never spoke on his own behalf during the campaign. Local party ward-heelers in each town did the speaking. They didn't talk about policies or the issues of they day. They talked about his being born in a log cabin and splitting logs to build rail fences. All true, but things far in his past and having nothing to do with what sort of President he would make.

Dial back to the first Democrat, Thomas Jefferson. His Federalist opponents launched attacks that were, even for that day, unusually ugly.
http://millercenter.org/academic/americanpresid...
The Federalists attacked the fifty-seven-year-old Jefferson as a godless Jacobin who would unleash the forces of bloody terror upon the land. With Jefferson as President, so warned one newspaper, "Murder, robbery, rape, adultery, and incest will be openly taught and practiced, the air will be rent with the cries of the distressed, the soil will be soaked with blood, and the nation black with crimes." Others attacked Jefferson's deist beliefs as the views of an infidel who "writes aghast the truths of God's words; who makes not even a profession of Christianity; who is without Sabbaths; without the sanctuary, and without so much as a decent external respect for the faith and worship of Christians."

As far as I know, Sally Hemmings never said any of the insults quoted above. Yes, Jefferson did love Sally Hemmings. So what? That proves that Jefferson wants "Murder, robbery, rape, adultery, and incest will be open taught and practiced, the air will be rent with the cries of the distressed, the soil will be soaked with blood, and the nation black with crimes."?
I can only interpret your comment shows your seething racism.
Interesting what we can learn about others in this forum. Your choice of handle indicates you support felonious assault against those who don't subscribe to your own political agenda. You favor tax policy that puts power only in the hands of an elite few and of the largest multinational corporations. After catching you in lie after lie, I know you have a very casual disregard for the truth. Now I find you are a racists as well. You're coming pretty close to the definition of a fascist.

Listen to the Libs talking to each other saying how Hillary is sinking to Republican level. Democrats have to go up a high rise elevator before they can descend to the level of Republicans. The last several years Democrats have taken name calling to a new low. Anybody remember reading on this site things like Nazi, criminal, repugs, etc. And this from the party of compassion, acceptance, and hate crime laws.

That depends on how you define conservative. Even simple words like Liberal and Conservative have been twisted and turned into lies by Washington.
Here's a news flash for the ConMen. You don't build the biggest government in history and run up $10 trillion in debt by what I understand to be conservative values. My understanding of "conservative" doesn't include working for laws in Washington that reach into every area of people's lives, controlling their reproductive activity, family decisions about when to end life support, public funding of churches and of religious education, the Supreme Court overruling state constitutions and deciding Presidential elections, the Unitary Executive, etc. etc.
Before you run that vaunted word, CONSERVATIVE up the flag pole, let's consider what the ConMen have turned it into. Then we'll see who salutes.

First of all, B.O. did not turn any tables. All he did was try to spin his words to make it look like he is not an ignorant fool. He speaks about how he respects sportsmen and the Second Amendment, but fails to realize that the 2nd is not about sports. It is not about hunting. It is about the right to fight for your rights and liberties if need be. Which is exactly what our fore fathers did.
Obama, in his original statement, mentioned that since these people were bitter, they have turned to guns and God yet have turned away from immigration. FTR, I have yet to meet one American who is upset about immigration. We are upset over ILLEGAL immigrants. There is a huge difference there and B.O. does not want to talk about it because he does not want to disenfranchise any future voters. (The people he will grant amnesty to if elected)

He then goes on to talk about Hillary. Which was very sad to watch. It was obvious that he was grasping at straws the second he started talking about her. Any salesman worth his salt is immediatly taught not to say the words "Come on". It shows that you are desperate and weak. Barack looked very desperate each time he said that phrase. Especially at the 5min marks when he starts to studder. Listen to how shaky his voice is. He is obviously lying. It is further proven by his anger at the 6:15 mark through the 7 minute mark and all the way to the end.

The fact is that Obama is very ignorant and naive. He is very inexperienced and really should feel very lucky that he has made it this far. And to be honest, the only reason he has made it so far is because he is a good speaker. Unfortunately for him, the truth about who he really is is coming out and his popularity is fading. He is very elitist. He does talk down his nose at people, and is a product of his evnvironment. As we all are. This is just one more nail in the coffin for hs campaign.

I like beer alot better than those trendy wines Obama and his

Here is a guy who mocks religious folks yet clings to his religion led by the wrong Reverend Wright, & depises gun toters of which there is more in the tiny ward of Illinois that he used to represent than in almost any rural Appalachian County. Maybe he only despises those who possess legal guns as the gun toters in his ward carry illegal ones.

What you defy is for anyone to convince you that Obama's words were wrong. We can tell you all day long what was wrong with Obama's words, but we cannot convince you our position is correct.
I am willing to let the good people of Pennsylvania address that just for you. As this writing (4/14 1 pm ET), Hillary has a 20-point lead in Pa.

I get a kick out of the idea that if you don't understand his explanation of his rural American gaff you must be simpleminded! Hear is a guy that picked the brain of Reverend Wright for decades denegrating the habits of the heartland in a swanky San Francisco lovefest of the Moveoner's &

Obama's goof was not to have censored himself in regard to remarks that, even if not derogatory WERE condescending.
A no-no of a high order for a pol seeking office in a land of class resentment, if not class-consciousness.
Then again, the fact that O. allowed himself these comments undoubtedly salutes their innocence.

What's really unfortunate is that people have to be sooo careful about any little thing they say, lest the psychotic, self-important 'news media' get their hands on it. Media (left AND right) in America has gone from solid investigative journalism and well-reasoned commentary to the grubby-fingered parsing of minutiae into greasy, hyperbole-laden chum. Michelle Obama says she's finally proud of America, and now she's an 'America-hater'. Barack chooses not to wear a flag lapel pin, and he's 'anti-American'. Just when did lacquered metal (made in China) become the measure of patriotism? I must've missed that part from Civics.
McCain has GOT to be enjoying his time out of the fray, but make no mistake, once the Democratic nominee is chosen, he'll have his own swarm of slime-flies to bat away.

I wonder what the campaign ads are gonna look like, if the current angle on Obama is that he's a racist and an elitist snob...
imagination time!
SCENE: Obama lookalike sitting at a long table in an overtly opulent and luxurious dining hall [portraits of black leaders on the wall] -slow zoom in.
He rambles some political stuff, looking out for the poor and those who can't look out for themselves, blah, blah blah...
Suddenly a very white butler enters the room and serves him some steaming fillet minion on a gleaming [special effects gleam and sparkle] sterling silver platter
the waiter, who looked a little nervous to begin with, knocks a fork to the floor which clatters nerve-rackingly
-dead silence-
Obama watches coldly as the waiter/butler scrambles to pick it up
Obama looks back at the camera and continues the political spiel
slow fade

Ani: "...Not everyone takes their guns to church. After June we can if we want to, but why are you so edgy?"
It makes little sense to argue with Ani in the hope that she'll reflect upon her own position, but really, for absurdist self-parody, the above takes the cake.
Yes, I for one am delighted that after June she and her congregation--located where? The Oklahoma Territory, circa 1890?--will be able to pack heat.
Woman, don't you see the madness of your gun culture? GUNS IN CHURCH?! I'm not a Christian, but I can confidently say that this isn't quite what Christ had in mind for his disciples.
Ani, dear, please put away the Uzi and do some real thinking. As it is, your fear--and that, apparently, of your neighbors--makes you fodder for exploitation by every demagogue on the block.
