Not having a simple majority doesn't matter; what matters is that we're having a dialectic in our party, while the RNC is merely sharpening their knives and beating the bushes (not the right ones, unfortunately) to get out money for their Swift Boat effort to sink whomever is the Democratic contender. It's not about who will be the better leader to you, is it? Congress has lower ratings because of dummies like you who don't get that our founders actually wanted three separate bodies to balance our gov't...we got out of balance w/ W, and due to the RNC's plan to dominate the Justice system, will stay that way until some of the rightwingers on the Court die off. In the meantime, Congress' hands are tied and the RNC says "told you so," a refrain used by bullies and small minded neoconpoops.
